As some of you may know, we recently lost our father after a long battle with cancer. He fought stomach cancer, brain cancer, and leptomeningeal disease, which is a rare form of cancer in the brain and spine, that is without a cure. One thing we can say proudly; Dave fought as hard as he could, for as long as he could.

Growing up, our father taught us the importance of giving back to the community and doing what you can to help others. It was always a goal of ours to start a foundation or charity with him. Given what happened with our father; my siblings, my mother and myself have decided to start “The David Troutman Foundation.”

Our mission is to raise and donate money to help aid research and develop cures for rare forms of cancer, such as Leptomeningeal Disease. Those of you who know Dave also know how passionate he was about developing young athletes into young adults through coaching. We will also use some of these funds and give back to youth development and youth sports communities around Louisville.

We would like to thank everyone for their support in this tough time. We hope that through creating this foundation we can carry on Dave’s legacy, so that he, and his legacy are never forgotten. #TROUTSTRONG
