✨𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐇 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓✨

It’s so hard to put into words what you mean to me because “thank you” will never feel like enough.

You came into my life at a time when I needed someone more than I even realized. You didn’t just make my sophomore year better—you helped me get through it. You were there on the days I felt overwhelmed, the days I doubted myself, the days I needed someone to remind me that everything was going to be okay. You loved me, encouraged me, and believed in me even when I didn’t always believe in myself.

You became the big sister I never knew I needed. You’ve shown me what genuine kindness looks like. You’ve been someone I could always count on, someone I could laugh with, cry with, and be completely myself around without ever feeling judged. You’ve made such a permanent mark on my life, and I don’t think you’ll ever truly understand how much you’ve changed me for the better.

The hardest part is knowing that in just a little while, you’ll be leaving for Brazil. I’m so unbelievably proud of you, and I know you’re going to do amazing things there, but selfishly, my heart hurts. The thought of not seeing you until February 2028 doesn’t even feel real. That’s so many birthdays, school memories, choir moments, random conversations, hugs, and little moments that I wish we could share together.

I’ve caught myself already missing you, even though you haven’t left yet. It makes me want to slow down time because I don’t feel ready to say goodbye. More than anything, I hope I get to see you before you leave in August so I can give you the biggest hug and tell you one more time how much you mean to me.

No amount of distance will ever change how grateful I am that God crossed our paths. Thank you for loving me like a little sister. Thank you for being a light in my life. Thank you for showing up for me when you didn’t have to. I’ll carry every lesson, every laugh, every hug, and every memory with me until the day you’re back home.

I’ll be counting down the days until February 2028.
