☀️ B U S • T O U R • 2 0 2 6 ☀️This year’s festival ended with a bus tour to visit all the brand-new artworks created throughout the festival week in Pärnu. The enthusiasm from the locals was beyond amazing — we completely packed a full-sized bus with eager art lovers! 🚌💨Together, we visited every single wall painting, giving everyone a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the stories and inspiration behind each piece. Hearing the artists themselves share about their creative process and the heartwarming encounters they had with locals made the tour extra special. ❤️🖌️A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the final day of the festival so unforgettable! ☀️ W O R K S H O P • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 Bringing art to the community is what we live for! As part of this, for numerous years, we have organized youth street art camps. This year, however, we opened the canvas to everyone, regardless of age – we organized an open street art workshop! We teamed up with the amazing students and teachers from Pärnumaa Vocational Education Centre @parnukhk , who built massive 3D letters spelling out R, U, and A. 💥 We set them up right in Rannapark on the way to Pärnu beach. 🏖️On the final day of the festival, passersby became artists. Under the expert guidance of Pärnu’s own street artist Kryptik @kryptik_est , everyone got to grab a spray can and add their touch to the initially blank white letters.Bit by bit, line by line, the community transformed the letters completely. Swipe to see the final result, now bursting with vibrant layers of color and creativity! 🖼️✨📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #workshop #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ S P O N S O R S • 2 0 2 6 ☀️We want to give a massive shoutout to the amazing partners who stood by the RUA festival and helped make it happen.🎨 Our long-term partners: For 9 years, Sadolin Eesti has kept us supplied with wall paints — we literally couldn’t paint these murals without them! Fere OÜ made sure our artists had everything they needed to get that paint onto the walls, supplying all of our rollers, brushes, and painting tools. Ramirent guaranteed that we can reach all the necessary heights by supporting us with the lifts.🎁 Local love from Pärnu: This year, three fantastic local businesses stepped up to give our artists and volunteers a special little something from Pärnu:✨KOPUTA 3x @koputa3x – A lovely mother-daughter business rooted in handmade crafts. They gifted different gift bags filled with beautiful local creations.✨Ingel Drinks @ingeldrinks – Kept our artists refreshed with natural, sugar-free lemonades, which were an absolute hit during our sauna night!✨Tõstamaa Käsitöökeskus @tostamaafolkartcentre – Gifted more wonderful local crafts that brought huge smiles to our artists’ and volunteers’ faces.🌍 A special thank you to the Spanish Embassy in Estonia and the French Institute in Estonia @if_estonie for supporting the participation of artists Sens Area and Paatrice Marchand, respectively.🏛️ Our gratitude also goes out to the Cultural Endowment of Estonia @kultuurkapital and the Association of Local Governments of Pärnu County for funding and supporting the festival.🌆 Our Pärnu Partners: Finally, a huge thank you to the City of Pärnu, Gertrud Preis, and Janno Poopuu. We worked incredibly closely with them throughout the entire planning process and festival week. Thank you for believing in this project and trusting our vision! Pärnu and its surrounding areas are now so much brighter and more colorful thanks to these new artworks. Finally, one more massive thank you to everyone who poured their heart into making this festival happen! ✨📸: @toivj & @luke_carter_art ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #sponsors #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #streetart #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ L O N A C • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @lonacpot 🇭🇷📍 Jõõpre Community and Care Center, JõõpreThe artist Lonac is fascinated about flea markets, he likes to explore both the items as well as the people who sell their belongings there. Now, he has captured the rich stories of old items and people on the wall of the local community and elderly care center in Jõõpre. His mural exhales nostalgia, transporting you back to the warm, sun-drenched summer days of childhood.🌞On the left: A beautifully rendered still-life of nostalgic treasures – the kind of items you’d find hidden in your grandparents’ attic or at a local flea market. On the right: The pure essence of a lazy summer afternoon, featuring an elderly figure in the golden sun, shaded by a parasol.☂️This piece will now greet every visitor and passerby, serving as a gentle reminder to keep the warm memories of summers spent with our grandparents close to our hearts. 💛📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ J U S T S A S K O • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @justsasko 🇩🇪📍 Metsa 1, PärnuIn the Baltic and Nordic countries, everyone knows that exact moment... 🌊That blissful sensation of dipping your toes into the seawater for the very first time after what feels like a never-ending winter! The sound of the waves, the wind in your hair, the sun on your face, and your feet finally free from winter boots. ☀️👣This pure feeling of freedom is exactly what JustSasko’s mural in Pärnu – the summer capital of Estonia – is all about. 🎨Even during the longest, darkest Estonian winters, this artwork will stand as a daily reminder that the cold will pass, and summer always comes back around. 🌞🕶️📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ L U K E • C A R T E R • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @luke_carter_art 🇬🇧📍 Pärnu Ülejõe School, PärnuIf one quickly passes by Luke’s artwork on the wall of Pärnu Ülejõe School, it might just look like a captivating pattern of abstract, colorful shapes. 🎨✨But as the geometric details draw the viewer in, they reveal an entire world woven with references to Estonian folklore. 🇪🇪🌾🐸 The mysterious Põhjakonn (The North Toad) can be found lurking at the bottom, ridden by a fierce female protagonist, holding two eggs in her hand. 🥚 The two eggs are a reference to the mythical birth of Salme and Linda in the Estonian national epic, Kalevipoeg. 🐍 Twisted around the other arm of the female protagonist is a snake, referring to the language of Snakish. 🐺 The wolf, Estonia’s national animal, is peeking from the right, while the hero Suur Tõll is keeping his guard from the top left.Thank you, Luke, for taking such a deep dive into our heritage and bringing it to life so beautifully on this school wall! We do suspect that by now, Luke might actually know more about Estonian folklore than many locals. He even read Andrus Kivirähk’s entire novel “The Man Who Spoke Snakish” for inspiration! 📚🐍📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ K U N Y T S IA • L I S O V A • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @kunycia_lisova 🇺🇦📍Tõstamaa kindergarten and library, Varbla mnt 24, Tõstamaa In the quiet, calm village of Tõstamaa, the Ukrainian artist Kunytsia Lisova transformed the local kindergarten and library wall into a living fairytale. 🦄 Her artwork depicts a magical creature inspired by the work of the legendary Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko – Kunytsia’s artistic and spiritual guide. The beautiful sunflowers are a blooming tribute to the artist’s homeland. The knitting patterns depict roosimine (inlay knitting), a traditional technique unique to the Tõstamaa region, celebrating the handicraft center located right inside the building. 🧶✨ Kunytsia’s artwork therefore beautifully combines references to Ukraine with deeply rooted Estonian traditions, turning this community building into a symbol of connection and warmth. 💛💙 A big thank you to our loveliest volunteers Epp, Kayleigh, Grete, Kati Eliise, Koen, and Otto for helping Kunytsia with this wall during the festival!📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ R A M E 1 3 • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @rame13_art 🇮🇹📍Paikuse Sports Center and School, PaikuseItalian visual artist Rame13 has brought the magic of Estonian nature to the walls of the Paikuse Sports Center and School! 🎨Inspired by the rich biodiversity of the nearby Soomaa National Park, this stunning mural features a majestic moose – an animal that fascinated her as it is not found in Italy – and a crane, the iconic bird of the wetlands of Estonia. 🌾🪶With its beautifully selected colors and incredible detail, the artwork perfectly complements the building’s architecture. It truly belongs on this wall! Situated on the sports center and school building, and right by the skate park, the peaceful moose and crane will watch over the local community every single day. 🛹🌱Grazie mille, Rame13, for this beautiful work!📸: @toivj & @anrekuldjamedia ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ M I R A • M A L L I U S • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @miramallius 🇫🇮📍Kitse 10, Pärnu (on the wall facing the parking lot of Päikese School)Believe it or not, but this was Finnish artist Mira’s very first step into the world of street art! We think she did absolutely brilliantly and can’t wait to see where and what she paints next! ✨Mira’s mural, titled “Lennureis” (“Journey of Flight”), is an ode to childhood and its infinite reaches of imagination. This once-blank wall now looks like a page straight out of a children’s storybook, taking one’s imagination on a journey. 📖🕊️The painting with its crisp colors and details is directly visible from the school’s canteen window. It serves as a daily, colorful reminder for both the students and staff of the school to let their imagination take flight! At the same time, the bright yellow “päike” (the sun) refers to the name of the school. ☀️Mira hopes that this painting will inspire the children, as well as their parents, to find their own unique stories hidden within the artwork. 🎨💫A big thank you also to the amazing volunteers Epp and Kayleigh who helped Mira during the festival week!📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ L U I S A • H A R J A K • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @luisa.harjak 🇪🇪📍 Papli 34a, PärnuLuisa Harjak is an Estonian painter, who is also taking her first steps in the realm of street art. 🎨✨ At the RUA festival, she took on an entire substation near the beach, marking the biggest wall she has painted so far.At first glance, you immediately notice the eye-catching, playful characters that look just as incredible up close as they do from a distance. But there’s also a beautiful depth to this piece. The work depicts a harmonious coexistence. All of these quirky creatures are completely unique and peculiar in their own way, yet they share the same space with ease and joy. 🤝💖 Through this artwork, Luisa gives us a glimpse into the ideal world – one where diversity isn’t a problem, but a beautiful, natural state of being. 🌍🌈What a beautiful message brought to life by Luisa’s characteristic style! We sincerely hope that this isn’t Luisa’s last street art creation and it seems like we are lucky! Namely, Luisa let it slip that she’s already on the hunt for her next outdoor canvases. 🗺️👀 We can’t wait to see what she paints next!A big thank you also to the volunteers Kayleigh, Grete, Johan, and Otto for helping Luisa during the festival week!📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival

☀️ S E N S • A R E A • R U A • 2 0 2 6 ☀️🎨 @sensareacolor 🇪🇸📍 Oja 25a, PärnuKapi (@kapi.style ) and Lihuen (@lih_inlines ), the creative forces behind the Sens Area artistic duo, are not only amazing visual artists, but they’re also deep-diving music lovers, who spend time digging vinyls and DJing. 🎧🎵When they first saw the photos of their wall for the festival, it instantly clicked: the format looked exactly like an album cover. 💿 This meant that it was a perfect opportunity to merge their two great passions! For this massive “album cover” mural, Kapi and Lihuen playfully integrated typical album cover details:📜 The tracklist poem: The song titles on the back can be read individually, but when read together, they form a poem. Flip to the front “cover” and you’ll find the same poem in Spanish, the artists’ native language.🔍 Witty producer list: Look closely at the producer list! They’ve referred both to themselves and the RUA festival.🎨 The artwork: The detailed character on the back captures the ultimate feeling of letting go — releasing the burdens of the past, trusting the scary unknown of the future, and spreading your wings to experience true freedom. What used to be a dull, grey brick substation is now full of deep and vivid colors, changing the everyday living environment of the locals living in the buildings surrounding the substation. It stands as a daily reminder of the power of music and the importance of trusting the unknown.Thank you, Sens Area, for completely transforming these walls with your amazing artwork! A big thank you also to the volunteers Epp and Koen who helped Sens Area during RUA, and to the Embassy of Spain in Estonia who supported the artists’ participation at the festival! 🙌✨📸: @toivj ✨✨✨@visitparnu @sadolin_eesti #streetart #streetartfestival #ruralurbanart #tänavakunst #pärnu by @ruafestival
