I feel like sometimes as a creative it’s really easy to look back on time and dwell on all the things you haven’t done yet. But I’m really making a conscious effort to feel proud of every step on this journey. I’m realizing that sometimes that means trudging a few steps backwards and celebrating very small steps forward. The path is not always linear and that’s okay as long as we keep putting one foot in front of the other :) Thinking of everyone out there doing the same 🤍🤍 These are some wild dreams we’re chasing

A little late to this post because I haven’t wanted to be annoying at all 😅 and honestly, I just don’t even know what to say. Being on set with this team was an absolute dream come true. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire crazy talented team, and of course to Makeup for keeping me spooky, even UNDERWATER!!

Quick little story, I was background on a different project a few weeks prior to shooting this, and it just so happened that I was scheduled at the same studio’s garage to get a covid test for that project. It was literally just a drive through test, and I sat in my car for all of 5 minutes looking across the street at the studio lot thinking to myself, “Damn, one day...”, and in the meantime @quynhematography and I tried to schedule a tour of the lot but it was closed due to COVID 😩. One week later, I found out I had booked the promos and would be stepping foot on the lot as “talent”. I can’t thank everyone enough. So incredibly grateful.

P.S. those wetsuit bottoms were the death of EVERYONE 😅

Welllll it wouldn’t be a personal project if I wasn’t late, so having said that, I moved to LA!! (A year and 5 months ago)… If you want to check out the full video I made, I’ll link it on my story.

It’s been a wild ride so far, and I feel like I’ll always be adjusting to this lifestyle, but I’m so grateful and blessed to have the absolute best support system on this journey. I’ll be so honest - moving to a new city as a freelancer is hard, so it’s taken me entirely too long to put this together, but life has been full of changes, so I’m trying to document my young years a bit more.

I ended up moving quite a bit within a short amount of time. I felt pretty transient, and I worried I may lose myself or the feeling of home within me, yet I knew I had to go to build the life of my dreams. It took a minute of reflecting, but I’ve come to find that home is truly within us and within all the people and places we love. And even when the places change, it will never change your home.

I’m so grateful for this life, and I’m grateful to my career path for fulfilling me and allowing me to spend more time with my loved ones. I’m grateful my loved ones love me enough to let me go, even though we all wish that wasn’t the case. This path constantly has something to teach me, and always presents new ways to humble me, but I still couldn’t imagine a life where I’m not chasing my dreams.

No matter where life takes me from here, I’m proud of where I am, and excited for where I’ll go. Life just keeps moving, and then you wake up one day and realize years have passed since a particular milestone moment. As I age, I notice memories become more distant, and things that have happened to me 10 years ago, don’t even feel like it was me who lived it. I guess I just wanted to make something more raw and vulnerable that I can look back on in 10 or 20 years to remember what feels like an important transitional time right now. A way to process change, and to create a virtual little timestamp of life in my young years, with some relevant music.
