I always travel alone all the time. But this time EVERYONE was telling me not to go to Mexico cuz it's dangerous especially Puerto Vallarta.... They were telling me craxy kidnapping, robbery and behe@ding stories, as they do for my country Kashmir and Pakistan and the greater Middle East lol but I didn’t listen obviously and went anyway.

Spent one week in the Malecón and then another week literally in the jungle near El Edén de Mismaloya

And tbh I had the best time ever.

The people were SOOOO nice and sweet. Everyone was so excited that a brown baddie from Pakistan was in Puerto Vallarta lmao and that I spoke a little Spanish lol 😭 I met so many people and genuinely felt like I had community there. People were taking my number, texting me on WhatsApp, checking on me when I would go out or be out late at night, they even invited me to come visit their villages and invited me over for dinner lol. Literally all these aunties adopted me!

And then at bars randomly locals would be telling me “Free P@lestine” “Long Live !!!ran” like okayyyy I found my people bro ......

Also I lost all my cash on the boat, the wind took it and it was highkey my fault. I was distracted. But then a bunch of local folks at the Boca Island helped me get home safe and some guys gave me a free ride to my hotel.

Folks were constantly checking in on me, knowing I was alone. Everyone was so kind and generous. It reminded me of my village back home.
