BEHOLD 🐍 “RATTLESNAKE” || perhaps the funkiest song we’ve ever made, it was inspired by a recounting of a 30-mile bike ride I took with my mom, and seeing a massive rattlesnake lounging in the dappled forest sunlight. Observing the beautiful and serene being, i was faced with my own struggle to stay present due to chronic anxiety — the rattlesnake was a reminder stop and receive the gifts our planet offers us… “do you have the time to unwind?” -Kal 🪩 Link to full vid in bio! ENJOY! by @rubblebucket

Following a string of life-altering changes, series of self-reflection, and non-linear journey of healing, Kalmia wrote and self-published a poetry zine in 2016. What became of these poems has evolved and mutated into a world beyond their pages, and into musical, sonic form: the new Rubblebucket album. Year of the Banana is yours 10.18 via @egghuntrecords 🍌💛 Pre-save now at the link in our bio, we can’t wait for you to hear it. by @rubblebucket

A deep dive into the vaults of Rubblebucket’s forever default, in-house graphic designer (this puffball right here ✋🤣)! Volume 1 It has been one of the funnest jobs of my life dreaming and sketching into the Rubblebucket visual universe. A lot of the stuff I’ve made over the years never got used so I wanted to share some with you today, with more to come. Sending a lot of love to you all out there. How is your day going, what are you up to? I hope that wherever you are, you’re finding a little bit of glitteriness to relax inside. Big hug, fam! ♥️Kalmia 01 rubblebucket logo 45 (2019) 02 vashti photocopy art b & w (2023) 03 banging horns and bombastic grooves (2009) 04 fabric cutout logo (2010) 05 kal’s sun machine dance pants mockup (2018) 06 dance pants in action! Dear Rubblebuddies, Alex here with exciting news. I’m going to be John Lennon in an opera Yoko Ono’s life written by @eucademix (of cibo matto)!! It’s called Ocean Child: I Am Yoko and we’ll be doing the debut performance at @thebroadmuseum in LA this Saturday 9/19 and again on 9/25 at @walkerartcenter in Minneapolis. To say I’m honored would be an understatement. Right after this I’m going on my first ever full US headline @tothtunes tour with a dream band feat @wxxl (John Carroll Kirby) on drums, @allegramusic (Adult Mom) on bass and @stephenzbecker (Rubblebucket) on guitar. We’re going to be playing songs from each of my records and improvising/shredding too. I would love to see all my Rubble-BBs there. Y’all are the best. 🥰 grab your tix at link in bio 3<3<3 📷 @shervinfoto 9/30 - Boston, MA @mideastclub *
