Were any of you visiting NYC galleries in 1982? If so, perhaps you saw these when the paint was still wet. Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Bird on Money,” was in his first show at Anina Nosei’s gallery and Keith Haring’s “Statue of Liberty,” was in his first show at Tony Shafrazi’s gallery.
