Had my first birthday without my daddy for my 31st. I’ve been super heartbroken missing him. His birthday was August 20th, the first without him. I used to struggle every year figuring out what to get him but this year I made him these spider lily’s out of pipe cleaners.

He always made birthdays extra special for me when he was able to. I had a birthday party pretty much every year as a kid. I was so lucky I had a dad who loved me so much and was so proud of me. It hurts knowing I won’t feel that ever again. I love you daddy always❤️‍🩹 by @rubidisaster

more grad pics + the day I got my gold cords⭐️

Over the moon with my accomplishment and for what’s to come. I can’t tell you how much I wish I could go back and tell little me how great we’re doing. I could almost see her blasting this album on her CD player daydreaming about the future❤️‍🩹

Gracias a los sacrificios de mis padres y mi familia. Por ustedes estoy aquí🇲🇽🎓

To my dad, my mom, Ivan, my pups, alllll of my amazing friends everywhere, my family, my community, and for little me who really never thought she’d even make it to high school after being diagnosed with lupus, this is for you❣️

It’s my last week of undergrad and trying hard to take it all in but it’ll never be enough. My time at NSU brought me immense growth that I know I could not have gotten anywhere else. My professors, my classmates, the staff, and the classes I took there really brought me to new heights I only dreamed of. Finally, after missing my graduation ceremony for my associates at CSN due to covid, I’ll get to walk the stage this time around with two bachelors degrees! I am extremely passionate about stop-motion animation and so proud of everything I learned from my Deaf studies classes. Strengthening my knowledge in an art form and a new language/community is something I’ll never stop being grateful for🦂

To every single person, from my parents motivating me to reapply to school, to friends helping me with simple tech support, to a sweet story reaction, the help figuring out my ASL hw, to feeding me after I’ve been working for hours, every motivating word and every single little detail in between, I sincerely thank you. I could not have done it without you and I hope I’ve made you proud🖤

At 30 years old, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies, proof that it’s never too late! I’ll be back soon for my masters🎓🤟🏽

Never thought I’d have my own studio yet here we are, dreams really do come true💞

For the last semester of my animation degree, I applied for the @nbcuacademy project support scholarship to help me have a controlled space to shoot a cut-out/sand stop-motion film for my final project. Extremely grateful to have been given this opportunity🙏🏽

Graduation can’t come soon enough!! Finishing my animation and Deaf studies degrees and this project will be my greatest accomplishments✨

Thank you to my professors Chris, AnnaSheila, & @visualmediac for the support.
Thank you to Fawn and AB at @nuwuart for providing the space!
& a huge thank you to my amazing friends and loved ones who have been such a supportive pillar through this! Really couldn’t do it without you guys🙏🏽

Once my film is complete I will be submitting it to different film festivals and sharing it with you all of course!

I’ve been working so hard! Can’t wait to finish this chapter🤟🏽
