These photos were taken just over a year apart. The girl in the first photo was nervous and far from confident in her abilities. She thought she wasn’t good enough and thought that she would never do an RX competition. The girl in the second photo, while still nervous, is more confident, takes chances, and is doing her first RX competition this weekend @atlanticcoastclassic

Is every workout great? No.
Do I have every skill? No.
Am I the strongest on the floor? No.
Do I fail? Yes.

While I’m not exactly where I want to be, I have fire, integrity, grit, and desire. I choose to be better than yesterday and I’m not going to let failure stand in my way.

In addition to that, I have a phenomenal coach who is always in my corner and supports me through the good and bad day, in and outside of the gym @_taylormeghan by @rubierae

Growing up, Jimmy and I always said we would do this together. While he wasn’t next to me as I fell out of this plane, he was with me nonetheless. I kept a picture of us inside my sock so that he was with me through the entire experience.

I miss you so much but today made me feel like you were a little closer. I LOVE YOU!

Rubie and i signed up for this comp 2 weeks ago having never done a workout together not even practice for this, and it was the best decision we’ve ever made!! It was so much fun and we truly pushed ourselves to our limit. Each competition day I learn something new about myself and this one I learned I can communicate well with a partner even when things don’t go as planned! It also helps that my partner is a beast!!! Shoutout to @_taylormeghan for giving us all the advice and key tips to make sure we did our best out there! Both of us have come so far because of you; this comp showed that!

About this weekend:

IT WAS AWESOME. Not only was it a much needed girls trip, we got to watch our coach @_taylormeghan leave it all out on the floor, and we got to meet 2 AWESOME CrossFit Games athletes! Gui and Luke were super nice and led us through a fun workout. Super grateful for this weekend ♥️ by @rubierae
