Early spring in Berlin, a civil ceremony, and a little bit of quiet magic with Inara & Sebastian.

Shot entirely as a photography booking… but sometimes you see moments moving before they even happen. So the Sony A1ii did its magic, and a tiny DJI Pocket Osmo 3 sat on top capturing the in-between. The kind of moments you don’t plan, but feel.

The film was never part of the brief… which made the surprise even better 😉

For me, wedding photography has never just been about stills. It’s about reading the room, staying light on your feet, and knowing when to switch gears without anyone noticing.

Versatility, personality, discretion, experience… all wrapped into one calm presence on the day.

And here’s the thing… when I overdeliver like this, price is never really the issue. It’s almost always less than people imagine 😉

Und es geht weiter... In dieser Woche hatten wir einen Termin mit @ruby.loves.jack Fotoshooting für neue Team-Fotos. Und es hat richtig Spass gemacht.
Ja, auch Fotos gehören zu unserer neuen CI und dem Gesamtvorhaben "neuer Look".
Und schon wieder tauchen da Fragen über Fragen auf. Was wollen wir für Fotos und wie sollen sie aussehen?

Wie wollen wir bei unseren potenziellen Neukunden, unseren Bestandskunden, im Netz und auf der Webseite, in den sozialen Medien und bei all den Menschen, mit welchen wir arbeiten und welchen wir begegnen, in Erscheinung treten?
Wir haben so viele Ideen, aber wir müssen aufpassen, dass wir nicht den zweiten Schritt vor dem ersten machen.
Wichtig erschien uns, im Vorfeld eine Planung zu erstellen. Gemeinsam mit David Nassim haben wir ein Konzept entwickelt – ein Konzept mit zwei Varianten.
Da momentan unsere digitale Firmenpräsentation im Vordergrund steht, war es uns wichtig, neue Team-Fotos sowie Portraits zu produzieren.
Gesagt, getan... Aber hier kam schon die nächste Frage: Wie wollen wir aussehen? Wie typische Architekten? Schwarzes Outfit, leger gekleidet, meistens eine grosse schwarze Brille tragend und doch immer mit einem leicht überheblichen Blick!? 😉
Oder doch lieber ein bisschen farbenfroher, individueller, authentischer und mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht?
All unsere Projekte planen wir immer individuell, abgestimmt auf die Bedürfnisse und Wünsche unserer Kunden. CI und DNA spielen eine sehr grosse Rolle und werden in unseren Entwürfen speziell in Bezug auf Farben und Materialien besonders betrachtet.
Was liegt also näher, als uns genau das als Grundlage für uns selbst zu setzen?
Wer sind wir? Wer sind die Menschen hinter den Projekten? Wie können wir unsere Persönlichkeit darstellen?
Am Ende haben wir zwei Varianten fotografiert! Wie Sie sehen, konnten wir es nicht ganz lassen, den typischen "Architektenlook" darzustellen. 😉

Wir sind schon sehr gespannt auf die restlichen Aufnahmen und können es kaum erwarten, diese vorzustellen.

62 today.

Some years you count the candles. This year I’m counting the mornings I woke up feeling properly alive, strong, and ridiculously lucky to still be doing what I love.

I won’t pretend I’m not grateful, because I am, every single day, to whatever you want to call it (the universe, life, fate) for the health, the energy, and the fire that’s still very much burning. Not invincible the way a 25 year old feels invincible. Invincible the way you feel once you’ve lived enough to know how fragile it all is, and you stop taking a single healthy, happy day for granted.

But honestly, the biggest gift of the last year hasn’t been the fitness or the energy. It’s been the people. Every client, every couple I’ve photographed, every collaborator, every colleague, every stranger who became a friend on a shoot from Japan to Namibia, from the UK to Germany, my wife Maria, my amaaazing kids, you’ve all left something with me. A conversation, a lesson, a laugh, a reason to keep going. I don’t think you realise how much you’ve shaped this year for me.

So thank you. For trusting me with your stories, your weddings, your brands, your time. For the coffees, the personal chats, and the small kindnesses along the way.
