Over the passed few months of making this for my sister's birthday (late to post, oops), here is the progress from start to finish! Hope you do enjoy the best hybrid I made so far as much as I have and still do 🥰🥰🥰. Zoom in at the box on the right to see the species name and what animals make up the contents of the leviathan. 1 from Subnautica one, 2 from Subnautica Below Zero, and one bonus in real life animal that is her favorite animal. Here's what I got done since the last post! The colors look off on the image tabs because of the yellow lighting in the bedroom.... no professional white light and desk and stuff yet but this is what I got done. In a server I'm in that's pretty much all Subnautica, I volunteered to do a challenge. The pfp and name of the person that suggested this challenge is a pda. So they said, "can someone draw me?" I offered on one condition, give me a challenge of animal from Subnautica to draw. I'd make the menu the player sees after scanning said animal in the game. Originally the person asked me to do the Ghost Leviathan but as you can see, the face is not my speciality 😂. However, I can do the Reaper Leviathan pretty good as the face is a bit easier to handle. Yes, I provided my attempt of the G.L. to show how bad at it I am. I showed it to pda in the server and begged them to give me something else to draw. They told me to do the Mesmer instead. I can do that one a little better 😅.

As you can see, I made notes and changed it up after the rough draft and now the final piece looks bigger and a lot more neater than the rough draft. I think this will be a keeper for both me and pda (and maybe others if they save it too). And yes, it'll look like the actual pda. Plan below.

Plan: The pda glass part will be done darkly with pencil, then erase the pencil lines and outline the ghost lines with my light blue pen. Use colored pencils for the remaining coloring then if need be, go over the light blue lines again with my pen to keep it fresh and original to the pda. The rectangle will be colored last so I can do the Mesmer and get everything finalized.

I'll send it to pda in the server and see how they like it. Obviously I'll ask pda and the owner of the server if I can screenshot the conversation to post here to my art channel and show how pda (maybe others too) liked it 🥰. If not, I'll just post something and write about how they liked it instead.
