We got to hang 11 today and had #12 close to gaff but went wild on leader and jumped off. We fell short from Capt. Daryl chow and @capt.dallas on sea hawk. Their day going 13 and a spear about a year ago or so. So it was fun to try n see if I could hang. I will say they caught their fish at a fad. I found all mine in the open 😉.

We had two trips yesterday managed 7 for the day. Few the last few days as well. Was nice to get to stay out for a full day today while the bite was on. And that’s all the flags we had. Lots of good grindz.

Ahi I came across this pic from 2018. The best year I had fishing on ruckus for ahi. Ahi fishing has gone down since. 😂 I remember it was normal to catch 200 pounders in the summer time. Good times.

This summer I experienced the best Mahi fishing I’ve seen in over a decade of fishing here. It got even better when I got a pic sent from @laakeafishcompany saying we hit a record for highest priced mahi-mahi sold in Hawaii at auction. The price went higher others beat me and got to experience a record them selves. We saw over $16. A summer I won’t forget.

Testing the @seamount_fishing Piko Fishing Belt and it’s easily the best one I’ve used. Small, lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable. No more bruising or discomfort while standing up fighting fish. Definitely stoked to have this for our charter guest. 🎣🤙
