Oops ugh oof oh no I forgot that Instagram existed.

Here is some renegade goofiness from Adelaide Fringe as an apology.

A moment of calm in the chaos-
I’d never noticed before the audio that accompanied this clip, the song that played while we packed up that day,
My phone is full of 100s of videos that ‘aren’t good enough to share’
But while I’m taking this time to heal, I’ve been looking back and being amazed by almost every fail video, messy sequence, silly flop and frustrated cut.
Loved my time with the London acro community, can’t wait to visit again. by @ruby_in.orbit

Making some progress with these Rising Back Whips at yesterday's @claphamcommonacrojam
Still a bit of a strange one to base but it's a lot of fun - once you get over the initial fear!

Big thanks @ruby_in.orbit for being a wonderful flyer for this one!

Big plans for transitions to and from this once I figure out all the cues and idiosyncrasies!

Any tips (basing, flying or spotting) welcome!

Counterbalances and transitions to standing
With @ruby_in.orbit

This class includes transitions to thigh stands, bendy counter balances and slackro inspired movements- (where the flyer has a lot of control over the balance).
It will be lots of getting comfortable in new acro positions, leaning new ways to move and learning how to isolate and stabilise different muscles used in acro.
You will probably get quite close to whoever you work with on the day, rolling all over each other.
You do not need to be this flexible to succeed!.

Pre-reqs:
None.
This workshop is beginner friendly.

Date: Saturday 26th October 2024
Time: 12pm - 2pm
Location: Studio 15 @la_activelife

‼️Please note:
* No partner needed. You are welcome to sign up solo
* Booking for Morning Movement Workshops, Community Acro Workshops & Acro Jam are all separate
* Mats are not needed but you may bring your own
* No food or drink is allowed in the studio - especially nuts and other allergens

📢 #TeacherAnnouncement !!! 📢

Ruby Sierp, Adelaide, South Australia

Ruby is an enthusiastic coach with a strong belief that anyone can do anything!
She founded her love for circus through aerial arts at a young age but quickly discovered the world of acro.

She grew up amongst the vibrant youth circus community in Australia and was a proud member of CircoBats Performance Ensembles performing across South Australia.
She began coaching with CircoBats community circus and furthered her coach training with Gymnastics Australia. She has since continued to coach all ages and abilities from toddlers to adults, at risk youth and disability engagement groups such as para quad.
Ruby has a passion for technique based training, same size acro and accessibility. Finding what works for each individual body rather than assuming one way works for everyone.
Ruby enjoys how the circus community has brought her so many friends across the globe and makes being active so much more fun!

I’m now taking one on one classes in Aerial apparatuses as well as tumbling and more! Get in contact for booking info - Ruby.sierp@gmail.com
Aerials are a great way to train strength, flexibility and develop coordination as well as learning incredible show stopping tricks.

They are also a great way for dancers (and anyone) to add an extra skill to their repertoire, cross train and accessible for complete novices. by @ruby_in.orbit
