A voice, a drum kit, and a whole lot of musicality 🥁

Jazz vocalist and drummer Ruby Laks brings a dynamic approach to the music, pairing expressive vocals with self-accompanied drumming and arrangements shaped by her love of musical theatre. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and mentee of jazz legends Billy Hart and
La Tanya Hall, Laks has performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Monterey Jazz Festival.

See @rubylaks on Sat, Oct. 17 as part of our Next Gen Jazz Lounge at #BRICJazzFest, spotlighting emerging artists carrying jazz forward. by @rubylaks
