POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In case you missed it, my debut album ‘Baby’ is out now everywhere! This is something I’ve thought about for a long time but never really thought would happen. Seemed like a massive hill to climb, and it fkn was, but I did it and it’s here. It feels weird that these songs that I’ve written over the last five years are now accessible for everyone. Scary. I hope you love them and they become part of your life like they have become a massive part of mine.

It’s not lost on me all the support I’ve had along the way. Thanks to my fam and friends for all the help, love you. Thanks to the makers: @stephen_mowat_ @bradbeer.on.bass @reginald__ak @fourskinner @iamgeorge . Thanks to @idontknowgus for the cover photo & @ellymalone for the design. Thank you Deanne for your unwavering support. Thank you to all of you for listening!

I picked up the vinyl on Friday, thank you @zenithrecords . Can’t believe I’m holding this shit. YOU CAN BUY THESE NOW THROUGH MY WEBSITE. AND I’ve opened up the merch stores for 1 WEEK for those who missed out on a shirt. You ask, we deliver ;) THANKS @full.cowboy 🤠. ALL IN THE BIO!

(For those who pre ordered - yours should be arriving in the mail in the next couple days)!

Catch me crying and celebrating on May 3rd at @thecurtin for the album launch! You’re all invited ❤️ by @rubymaemusic

Ruby Mae is at BIGSOUND for the first time, and she’s already played her first gig.

We caught up with the Naarm artist on the ground to talk about the festival, what’s been inspiring her, what she’s been working on and where she wants to take things next.

We also talked about ‘Aunty’, a little gem of a track about becoming an aunty for the first time. Ruby walked us through the story behind it, and how this very real, very new part of her life ended up finding its way into a song.

There’s a lot of love running through Ruby Mae’s music, and that came through pretty clearly in this chat.

Catch Ruby at her next BIGSOUND show.
Big love to Rambla @ Berwick House for putting us up, and to Kali Audio and Sprocket for helping us bring these BIGSOUND chats to life.
