Ok! My weekend. On Friday, I left Charlotte at 1PM, and arrived at our family beach house in Garden City Beach around 4:30PM. My nephew, Sean Connery McCray II, probate show at Coastal Carolina University started at 7:11PM. Of course my girls and niece Layla had to get dolled up, and we arrived on campus at 7:15. Our luck The Ques ran behind a few minutes. Sean was awesome! Ford and my brothers were beaming with pride welcoming him into the brotherhood. Sean can really step, and he was the biggest voice during his probate. I am so proud of my nephew starting the 4th generation legacy! Enjoyed the celebration afterwards until around 1AM on Saturday. Woke up at 5AM to reload my crew to head to DC. Ford opted out of going to DC, but I had Fordy home from Montenegro. His team missed the playoff run. He does not mind driving, but he partied with his bestie Sean until 3:30 AM. Sooo, I had to tough it out and drive the first 4 hours to DC. We made it to DC at 4:50PM, the Cherry Blossom parade made a 7.25hr trip run into a 9hr trip. Took an Uber to campus, & arrived at 6:20PM. The Alpha Deltas probate is a “must see” y’all! It was beautiful! Kai Michelle Carter, my gorgeous niece, had over 20 Deltas following her and supporting her during the probate. Kai’s after celebration dinner was a Delta Reunion, Spelman Reunion, & Family Reunion all in one. Let my crew sleep until noon on Sunday. Went to the Wharf to eat crabs, shrimp, and oysters by the Potomac, so delicious! Made it to Charlotte at 9:45PM. Exhausted! But I will take weekends like this one full of love and hope for the rest of my life! #alphadelta #omegapsiphi by @rubyruckercooper
