recap of week 1 as writer-in-residence at @unioncollab x @mestizomind ✨grateful ✨

-context:
still working on a short story. slept in the lounge chair. got my research books into the space — door closed, feels good. love / hate the stylistic edits, but finally back in character. @keseanabrams lent me a fan so i don’t melt. og.

-writing notes:
stylistic edit — in character.
writing what the story wants.
sound works where sight doesn’t.
i can use the sense of smell more.

short lines. focus.
after calm — lift.
sound = mood in this story.
lifts energizes / speeds up. brings gentles / slows down.
motion, rhythm, sound = explanation.

-randoms:
a woman dating a demon?
an art-cake heist?
creative direction is [helping people make things] that inspire an emotional connection between [an audience] and [a thing]... to [what end]?
we always selling stuff? am i a battered salesman, lol (@raythedestroyer )?
