Trash Panda Productions: Racchead Home Movies

Racchead and Ducc Dude are characters me and a friend made back in school for a plethora of reasons. One, they were fun and zany characters we could bring into any sort of situation or project and make things interesting with and two, they were just plain old damn fun. We could do anything with them and we did…in retrospect they’re products of their era. Just two wide eyed boys who don’t know much about the world around them; making home movies in their backyard. Maybe one day we’ll bring them back. With a better twist or something.

These are all clips from bigger projects, some animated to some full length pictures. Maybe one day you’ll see them…except one. that one is locked away for good and for good reason. But the rest are on the table! ahaha

Everything you see here was painstakingly recorded, animated, voiced, and everything in between…and then rendered by yours truly on his personal copy of Sony Vegas 14. A fossil of an editing software but god was it great. I miss those days and probably will till I’m pine box’d. taken in Trash Panda by @ruffinpaint

The Big 25!
I wanted to do something special for my 25th post to my “art account”. So here is an interview made on a whim and edited to your enjoyment of a modern day american frontiersman.

From as close as Chicago to as far as Alaska he’s seen it all with his trusty crew of ragtags; and he’s here (and willing) to give us an inside look into his regular living. What might we find? Only a pioneer might know!

Thank You for being here. Truly you do really start making things for just yourself and when people actually come find it or see it by choice (or even forced) it means a lot to the creator, and I think it’s all, just, really cool.

Ironically enough I was in LA when Native New Yorker and renowned procrastinator A$AP Rocky dropped his long awaited return. That Doesn’t mean I wasn’t bumping the whole thing on the lime scooters going to and from studio lots and other places though. Tying it all together is my most recent comfort game I returned to, Pikmin 4 (yea I know its not really a comfort game usually but my Dandori skills are highkey crazy…plus I beat Donkey Kong) taken in Conan O'Brien by @ruffinpaint

The Worlds of Adam Reed
Adam Reed is a particularly interesting character to me. His shows as concepts always drew me in. A globe trotting narcissistic secret agent Nepo baby who is top billing at a spy agency his mother owns? A Supervillain who has to balance destroying earth and his major rival all while both running for president and raising his alien born son (affectively mixing both the concepts of Veep and Monsters VS Aliens)? Sign me up. But I didn’t stay for the plots they didn’t really make sense (not a deal breaker for me tbh you know the media I consume by now) but it wasn’t…entertaining? The humor on the other hand…oh my god.

His shows are crude, they are filled with the level of jokes and half assed innuendos that you and your bros might throw around at the bar while watching the game on Friday night, making the characters feel not only grounded but actually personable on a level deeper than just between the viewer and a screen…like you work at the I.s.i.s agency with them (yes they beat the group to the name hence why they pivoted from the spy agency and its name midway through the show). All that being said its an incredibly satisfying experience fundamentally. Episodes are riddled with Character dialogue that will randomly pull out comparisons to real life icons long forgotten outside of a factoid from wikipedia you read one late night or from biology class from high school that’ll make you go “god why do I know that?” (My personal moment of these being a reference to Neils Bohr the Scientist behind the Bohr model for the compounding of elements). I know this reads more like a mixed bag than others but truly I cannot sing the praises of Archer and Frisky Dingo high enough. None of it really makes sense and yet it really all does by the end of both shows and the humor ties it all together anyways creating something that makes you keep itching for the next moment and how these characters who really represent a small part of all of us connect and mingle as their most untethered barbaric selves.

the manhunt of horrors
What better way to bookend the spooky season than a visual walkthrough of a galleria of Simpsons (swear this is the last you’ll see them for a while) Treehouse of Horror stills and Manhunt snuff shots. Manhunt is too gruesome to discuss here but nothing says Halloween and Cleveland more than Rocksteady’s survival horror series set in the lawless Carcer City (based off the great cities of Detroit, Gary Indiana & my Hometown of the CLE)

Tying it all together is the classic clips of the best (and most straightforward treehouse of horror sketch in my opinion) skit, The Most Dangerous game based off the Novella I read back in high school. A tale as old as time yet so satisfying to see the Simpsons do. Fetti needs to be here bc I like it. And its eerie…spooooooky!!! taken in Carcer by @ruffinpaint

Close Ones from Days Old
The new season comes out in a few days and I’m excited! To get in the spirit I’m posting these old ones with a new coat of picture paint.

I felt like Imagine was perfect. My outfit for these photos was really reading “new age Lennon” to me throughout and I thought the Juxtaposition of the song and its message compared to the shows premise of “a business that makes people smile“ along with an image of a guy being choked out by a frog would be fitting for it all taken in Pennsylvania by @ruffinpaint

you got the dud…and Milhouse
the “you got the dud” video is very hard to explain. Its very funny to me but I still can’t. Its included on the last slide. Painstakingly, the music is included on the post to make it as authentic to the original as possible. The music is from an album called “Everywhere at the End of Time” where the concept is to mimic the mind of someone suffering from Dementia. This track in particular is the closer of the first movement before it becomes much more distorted in terms of “its memory”, Giving it an eerie tone. Without the music the Dud is hilarious lol.

Milhouse on the other hand? Not so funny. Man, written to be a one off that became an icon in the Powerhouse of Bart’s in the form of a second in command to mischief…only to be ridiculed and messed with constantly. Sure it’s his character and archtype but its important. It represents a part of us. Constantly chasing that respect from those around us, chasing that one special “Lisa Simpson”. I resonate with Milhouse heavy. I see a lot of myself in him… what did you expect me to explain why? Oh Hell No; I have a therapist for that taken in Springfield, New Jersey by @ruffinpaint

High On Life
This game is one of those that l’ll play when I want to play something that seems impossible to have even been conceived. Aliens come to earth to turn humans into essentially bongs yada yada yada that part is cool and all but the thing that’s really cool? All your weapons are living breathing entities that talk to you and the rest of the world.

And the voices aren’t nobodies either. Its impressive! Your pistol Kenny is literally just Morty from Rick & Morty, your Shotgun Gus? That’s actor and comedian JB Smoove who plays fan favorite Leon Black from Curb your Enthusiasm, Betsy Sodaro of Disjointed fame plays your Machine Pistol while Tim Robbins of the Shawshank Redemption? For some reason? shoots his kids at enemies as “Creature”. But The ones that really steal the show though is Knifey, your resident psychopathic cutlery voiced by Michael Cusack (Pim of Smiling Friends) and the Cartel traffickers from other worlds. Between Dr. Giblets (Pleekley from Lilo and Stitch), Nipulon (Dr. Venture of the Venture Bros) and Douglas/Dr. Joopy (Tom Kenny of Spongebob & literally everything else animated under the sun) everyone showed up and showed out for their characters who are just as bizarrely designed as they are voiced.

With a voice cast as amazing as that the game has gotta be good right? The guy who plays Galactus in the New Fant4stic movie plays your P90!! Its gotta be good right? No its not. Gameplay wise it will put you to sleep but their must be over 900 lines of dialogue alone in this game and some of them, idk how the actors are able to do it, but they’re good ten minutes rambles to keep you annoyed and itching to solve the puzzles. Whether it be to move on or for them to stop talking (which rarely happens). This one honestly really really reads more like a ramble, but the main point is when you grow up listening to a lot of these voices and inflictions, especially with how often I did; its really surreal to hear them all in one place in the way that this made happen which is incredibly personally intriguing to me. Not a great game but a memorable one with such a cast of actors too I’m not even lying to you guys anymore it’s just strange lol. taken in Zephyr by @ruffinpaint
