6 years ago, my dear absolute friend SANNIE — or WHIGFIELD to most of you — hit me up at Power during lockdown to promote her single “SUGA.”

Originally an ID track, the single was remixed by WH0 and went on to hit No.1 on the Music Week Upfront Chart. We later re-serviced it with some amazing remixes and, incredibly, it went back to No.1 again that same year.

It was Sannie’s first UK No.1 since the legendary “Saturday Night” in 1994.

Fast forward to 2026, six years later. I spoke with Sannie and her manager Marco about revisiting this classic. I always felt it deserved another life, so Julian and I went to work with Rocco Lino, flipping it into a huge 90s-inspired anthem.

And WOW… what has happened since has blown me away.

The rework has smashed No.2 TWICE on the Music Week Upfront Club Chart, reached No.2 on the Pop Chart and is now back at No.3 this week, with amazing remixes from Robbie Rivera, James Hurr, Ruff Loaderz and Sharp Boys.

It also reached No.1 on the DJ Buzz Le Buzz Chart and has become a huge summer anthem.

But honestly, the moment that means the most to me was watching Sannie perform our version live. It absolutely blew my mind. ❤️

And if that wasn't enough, our Luv Foundation (UK) x LOVERUSH & Micky Modelle Summer Rain single is No.4 released via the brilliant So, Let's Talk in the Upfront Chart, and our Kim Kay remix is up to No.14.
