Your first birthday without you hits harder than I can put into words. I miss you more than ever, but I promise I’ll be okay. Some days, I feel a little lost trying to navigate a world that no longer has your kindness, your love, and your presence in it. But I carry you with me every day, and as long as you keep guiding me from above, I know I’ll find my way.

A great day that was a reminder to support and stand with Indigenous peoples, while also getting some quality time with my cousin. 🧡

Got some ramen in before Souptember wraps up 🍜, watched Forgotten Island for the second time and squeezed in a quick museum visit. All in all, a pretty perfect midweek chill day. ✨ by @ruggermuffin

I’m heartbroken. My mom lost her battle with cancer this morning — but not without a fight. She faced it the same way she faced everything in life: with courage and grace.

We were different in many ways. I’ve always been a dreamer and a traveler, with my head in the clouds, while she was grounded, practical, and happiest at home; that said she supported everything I wanted to do. The love and values she gave me are what connected us most — and they will continue to guide me for the rest of my life.

She loved me unconditionally when I came out and gave me the courage to be authentically myself. All she ever cared about was my happiness, and I couldn’t have asked for a better mother. That’s who she was: selfless, kind, loving, and so funny — the kind of person who left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Please hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight, and be kind to one another.

I heard we were doing 2016! looking back it was a good year - family weddings, winning the Bowl with the Barbarians at Bingham Cup Nashville, Texas road trips and Mexico, and hiking at Garibaldi on my last visit to Vancouver before moving in 2017. Manifesting the same energy for 2026 🤘🏽
