sisters

i came across with these two lively sisters by the ocean, enjoying life's simple pleasures – cigars, laughter, and the endless horizon.

for me, the sensation of portraiting unknown people is something I can't quite explain; it’s a vibe 🔥☺️

Valentino Silva, 79
The Bridge of the Atlantic. 🌍✈️

While he turns the soil in the quiet of the Azores, these giants are fueled up and bound for the other side of the world. It’s a surreal sight: a local life of simple tradition, literal steps away from the logistical heart of missions to Afghanistan.

Is he safe? He’s certainly at the center of it all.

📍 Furnas

Mr Antonio, 75. 📍 Furnas

The alert level for Furnas Volcano has been raised to V1 following an increase in seismic activity. 🌍🌋

Despite a series of low-magnitude earthquakes, daily life in the village continues as usual, in a community accustomed to living with one of São Miguel’s active volcanic systems. 🌋
