While the 2026 International African Diaspora Dance Traditions Conference (IADDTC) might have ended. The learning didn’t.

Some knowledge isn’t meant to be written down, said @movingspiritsinc , it’s carried in rhythm, exchanged through movement, and remembered by the body.

Drumming. Capoeira. A town square.
Diaspora recognizing diaspora.

The body remembers what history tried to erase. 🖤🥁

❤️ You’re Invited

If you’re in Salvador, I’d love for you to join me for a special performance of my newest work, Em Busca do Céu (In Search of Heaven) by RUKADANCE.

This piece is a deeply personal exploration of the many ways we search for the Divine across the African diaspora. Inspired by my upbringing in the Black church and my journey through world religions, it asks a simple question:

What if, regardless of how we worship—or whether we worship at all—we’re all searching for the same thing?

Love. Freedom. Connection. Heaven.
