POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The little girl blowing me kisses in this video just published a murder mystery. 🥹📚

11 years later, my niece Nesochi is an author. Today I held my copy of The Imposter Amongst Us for the first time, and I could not be prouder. She wrote, edited, and published it from her school dorm!

I’m only a few chapters in, and I keep asking, How did she come up with all this? At Xaos Academy, a prince and his friends discover a classmate’s body in his locker. Now they have to prove they didn’t do it.

If you know a teen who loves academy stories and murder mysteries, send them this book. And if you’re an adult who still loves getting lost in an imaginative story, it’s for you too.

Nesochi, watching you grow from the little girl in this video into a published author is something I’ll never forget. I’m so proud of you. ❤️

✨ What an unforgettable evening. ✨

Our 2026 NAWBO Dallas/Fort Worth Induction Gala was more than a celebration, it was a reminder of what’s possible when women business owners come together with a shared purpose.

As we officially welcomed our 2026–2027 Board of Directors, we also celebrated the incredible legacy that has brought us to this moment and embraced our new theme:
💎 Facets of Power: Celebrating Legacy. Illuminating What’s Next

To every member, guest, sponsor, vendor, volunteer, speaker, and supporter who joined us, thank you. Your presence, encouragement, and investment in our mission made this evening truly extraordinary.

A special congratulations to our newly installed 2026–2027 NAWBO DFW Board of Directors. We are honored to serve this incredible community of women entrepreneurs and are excited for the year ahead.

Thank you to our keynote speaker, @martytmcdonald, our incredible MC @veronicatorreshazley and installation officer @itsmsang , and everyone who helped inspire and empower our chapter.

To our sponsors and community partners, your generosity allows us to create meaningful experiences, expand opportunities for our members, and continue advancing women business owners throughout North Texas.

And to our amazing vendors—thank you for showcasing your businesses and helping create an unforgettable experience for our guests. We encourage everyone to continue supporting these incredible entrepreneurs long after the gala.

This evening marked more than the installation of a new Board.

It marked the beginning of a year dedicated to:
✨ Increasing Visibility
🤝 Fostering Collaboration
📣 Strengthening Advocacy
💚 Building Community

Together, we’ll continue creating opportunities that strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of women-owned businesses and propel women entrepreneurs into greater economic, social, and political spheres of power.
The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.

LEADERSHIP REVEALED
—————————————
Twenty years ago, our journey started with friendship. Along the way, it grew into mentorship… partnership… marriage… and now — co-creation of purpose at an elevated level.

Working alongside my partner Ruki has been one of the most humbling leadership classrooms of my life. I’ve watched her evolve from corporate powerhouse to growth strategist and business owner — always making bold moves that matter, always leading with clarity and conviction.

This month, as we commemorate 100 years of black excellence we take a meaningful step forward together.

We are unveiling…Leadership Revealed-THE COUNCIL OF THE REALMS, an immersive African-inspired leadership simulation positioned for organizations ready to push their leaders to truly perform when the stakes are visible.

This work is deeply personal for us. Because modern leadership is no longer about what you say in calm moments — it is about who you become under real conditions of complexity, pressure, and trust.

Co-teaching this experience with my life partner is both a privilege and a responsibility we carry with intention.

If you are building leaders for the future of work, this is a conversation worth having.
