Evolution is a quiet process.

For the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to blend our deep cultural roots with a sleek, contemporary vision. This tactile glimpse, is just the cover of a much larger story we are about to share.

The revival is almost complete. Are you ready to see what's inside?

Look up.

Some of the most meaningful details are the ones we rarely notice.

Above the pendopo, a hand-painted ceiling quietly watches over every gathering. At its centre is a sun-like motif, a design often associated with warmth, vitality, and the life that unfolds beneath it.

Whether it's family celebrations, quiet conversations, creative collaborations, or slow afternoons, the pendopo has always been more than a roof. It has been a place where people come together.

These details weren't created to impress at first glance.

They reveal themselves over time—to those who pause, look a little closer, and appreciate the craftsmanship of generations before us.

At Rumah Sleman, every beam, every carving, and every painted detail carries a story.

Sometimes, all you have to do is look up. taken in Rumah Sleman by @rumahslemanofficial

130 years of history, built for contemporary living.

Our central pendopo spent its first century in Solo before making the journey to Yogyakarta, where this home was thoughtfully built around it.

To us, heritage was never meant to stand still.

Rumah Sleman is a place where history continues to be lived—through intimate celebrations, meaningful gatherings, creative productions, design showcases, acoustic evenings, and moments that unfold naturally beneath its timber beams.

Not preserved behind glass, but experienced.

Morning light spilling across the terrace. Long lunches that become slow afternoons. Conversations that linger long after the table has been cleared. Music drifting through the open air as evening settles in.

There is no single way to experience Rumah Sleman.

Only timeless architecture, open skies, and the freedom to make the space your own.

Stay a little longer, breathe in the surroundings, and discover how history continues to inspire what comes next. taken in Rumah Sleman by @rumahslemanofficial

Every note tells a story, and every performance reflects a journey of growth.

Our students' recital is more than a showcase of what they have learned—it is a celebration of their progress, expression, and courage to share their voices through music 🎶

See you at Piano Soirée II 🎹✨

Beyond technique and musicality, each performance represents patience, dedication, and the courage to step onto the stage and share what they have worked so hard to achieve.

This recital marks a special moment in their musical journey.

From the first hello to the last goodbye.

We believe hospitality lives in the small things.

A warm welcome at the door.
Something to drink while you settle in.
A table prepared.
Food made to be shared.
And someone quietly there when you need them.

Nothing complicated.
Just the feeling of being genuinely looked after.

Come in, stay awhile.

Somewhere between the old timber, open doors and quiet garden, there is room for something new.

A table laid for people we love.
Music beneath the pendopo.
A ceremony at dusk.
A quite afternoon with nowhere to be.

We do not know every story Rumah Sleman will hold, yet.

Maybe that is the beautiful part.

The house is here.

The rest is still being written. taken in Yogyakarta Indonesia by @rumahslemanofficial
