October is a special month for us. Around this time last year, Andree was starting to plan for the launch of Ruma, which happened in December. Since then, Ruma has grown in ways we never could have imagined, and as we continue growing, we’ve been trying to be intentional about the kind of business we want to build and the communities we want to be part of. We want to keep creating genuine connections, supporting other small businesses and giving back whenever we can.

That’s what makes this October especially meaningful. It’s Andree’s birthday month, and she wanted to celebrate by giving back to a community that means a lot to us. We’re really excited to be fundraising for @mindovermilesoc , a nonprofit we’ve gotten to see make a real impact by bringing people together, creating space for folks to do hard things together and connect.

Our Corn Milk Matcha launches October 10, and from 10/10 through 10/31, all profits from it at the Old Town Tustin Farmers Market will be donated to Mind Over Miles. 🌽🍵

Hi friends we have a few updates- pistachio cream is temporarily unavailable due to restocking issues 😲. Also, this weekend, we have a change to the schedule, we are popping up at Orange Home Grown Farmers Market @orangehomegrown serving matcha and hojicha . That means we are not going to be at Old Town Tustin Farmers Market.

This Saturday, October 10, from 9 AM to 1 PM, we’re celebrating World Mental Health Day at @oldtowntustin_sat_market!

It’s a special event for @rumalatte because we’re fundraising for Mind Over Miles, a nonprofit organization that has done so much to support the community through mental and physical wellness.

To us, community means taking steps to support an organization that creates meaningful spaces for people to connect, move, and prioritize their well-being is something we’re grateful to be part of.

We’re launching our Corn Milk Matcha this Saturday, and 100% of the profits from this drink at Old Town Tustin Farmers Market from October 10–31 will go toward supporting Mind Over Miles! 🌽🍵

The OC Matcha Run food crawl is officially sold out, but the farmers market is open to everyone, and enjoying the festivities is completely free! Come say hi, grab a matcha, and help us give back to a cause that means so much to us.

Mind Over Miles is a nonprofit dedicated to making mental health support more accessible through community, movement, and meaningful connection. 🤍

The start and finish line will be at Old Town Tustin Farmers Market 🧑‍🌾. The food crawl is officially SOLD OUT, but the market is FREE and open to everyone!

LAUNCHING ON OCTOBER 10: we’re excited to fundraise for Mind Over Miles (MoM), a nonprofit making a meaningful impact across Orange County, LA, and beyond.

MoM brings people together through movement, connection, and community, reminding us that we don’t have to do hard things alone. We’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the community Karen has built and the real impact MoM is already making, which makes this fundraiser especially meaningful to us.

At Ruma, we’ve always wanted to be more than just a matcha pop-up. Supporting our community, creating genuine connection, and giving back are at the heart of what we do. Being able to contribute to a nonprofit whose work we’ve seen make a difference in real time feels like such a natural reflection of those values.

October is also Ruma founder Andree’s birthday month, and giving back is something she’s always wanted Ruma to be intentional about. So this year, we’re celebrating by giving back to a community that means so much to us.

And because Corn Milk Matcha happens to be one of Karen’s favorites, we’re launching it on Oct 10 and making it our fundraiser drink! 🌽

From October 10–31, profits from every Corn Milk Matcha sold at the Old Town Tustin Farmers Market will be donated to MoM.
