8 years ago I took the kids to the shelter to get out of the house, told them we will NOT be bringing anything home with us 🤦🏽‍♀️ There was a sign on a cage that read “Elevator Butt”, inside that cage was the most beautiful cat I have ever seen, our Astrid. Yesterday with heavy hearts we said our final goodbyes to our Elevator Butt. Curled up around her tennis ball, covered in tears and kisses, we laid her to rest. Astrid was a diva through and through, she was sweet and loving but took no shit. Her eyes were magic. She had the perfect little pink nose and paws 🐾 that I loved so much. No one has been able to safely wear dark clothing in this house for the last 8 years but having her was worth all of the lint rollers in the world. This cat loved Christmas, cardboard and fucking with the dogs. I will miss the sound of her bell, the way she swooshed her tail, how she loved to rub her face in our hair, her gentle purr and her elevator butt. She is so missed already my heart aches for our beloved Astrid. She left us too soon but will never be forgotten. I hope she knew how loved she was and is in a sunny place waiting for me now. by @rumblepie

Happy Valentine’s Day to this gorgeous loving man. I am thankful on a daily basis to have him as my best friend and partner. I love the way he looks at me, how hard he makes me laugh and how I can be my whole weird ass self with him. He will CRAFT 🤤 with me for hours, rub my feet without me asking, he always fills my water bottle and my heart. This man helped me build a whole entire aviary for my birds, if that isn’t true love, I don’t know what is. He is kind, strong, loyal, a master joint roller and I strive to be the best woman I can for him because he deserves nothing less. He embodies everything that I ever wanted in a man so I just wanted to honor him in the 🌽iest way possible on the day that was made for such things. by @rumblepie

On this Big Island that stole our hearts, we found a little farm to love, care for and call our very own. She is gorgeous, wild, pretty untamed and mysterious (as we all should strive be). We felt her power and magic as soon as we met her. We could not feel any more blessed that everything aligned for us to be the caretakers of this farm (that has yet to be named). We are beyond stoked that this dream has become a reality. Now we can look forward to all of the hard work ahead, to giving this land the love that it deserves so we can grow together and the adventure of figuring out how the hell to be farmers.
