The ‘Half Jacket Tote’ is a direct conversion from its previous form as a leather vest, into a hobo-styled handbag. Elements like the closure mechanism (zips & buttons), pockets and others, have all been retained on the final piece, to be worn (open/closed) as per the wearer’s preference. The inner lining is an independently built component, made to naturally fit the shape of the jacket and closes using a draw string mechanism. Sizing of the bag depends on its original size in its previous life.This item is only available in store. by @rummagestudio

Our first ever in-store sample sale, at the former Kioko Art Gallery off James Gichuru road. The sale will run until the end of March.The key feature of our sample sale this month, are these pieces made using off-cuts from the football making process at @weareakke. The year long sampling process in 2023, culminated in final products that drew some design inspiration from these beauties, and which were shelved due to some design deficiencies. Hopefully we’ll get to revive the collaboration soon but in the meantime, here are some bits from the process. by @rummagestudio
