Bufff gerlll! Been a while since Iā€™ve drawn her, from my last few pieces of her, I found that I always find rendering Hildaā€™s skin to be a lot of fun, even itā€™s red getting the hue to look right, it to be shiny and I enjoying how all the muscles look in the piece. Here is a re-drawing/redesign of the main character in my fantasy world building Project Empyrean Vail story. His name is Daron Saddris. BACKSTORY Daron Saddris was born among the Sarhrieā€”a desert nomadic dark-elf folkā€”deep in the dusty periphery of the Empire. His life was abruptly fractured when he was born into slavery. And line his kinsmen His striking featuresā€”basalt skin and fire-red eyesā€”made him a valuable, exotic commodity. At a young age, his talent for movement and music caught the attention of the Emperor himself, who installed Daron in the palace to be trained as an elite entertainer. This life of performance and gold contrasted sharply with his Sarhrie origins, making him a walking contradiction of the Sanguine Court. Years later, when the Emperor died, Daron found himself drawn into a secret, passionate relationship with the heir, his daughter, Seraphina. Under her command, the performer was molded into a predator: her personal, silent assassin, operating in the darkest corners of the court. But loyalty has its limits. The cost of loyalty was killing an innocent. During a raid to protect Seraphina, Daron saw a grieving child and froze, unable to strike. That moment shattered the reality Seraphina had built for him. Now running from the woman he loved, Daron is a ghost who moves with a dancerā€™s grace and a nomadā€™s stealth. He doesnā€™t know he is a prince to a forgotten kingdom, only that he must not be caught by the Empire that raised him. The one that has lived with a purpose demanded and commanded to him. Here is a redrawing of my first ever D&D character Iā€™ve played. His name is Ragnar, an orc barbarian bear totem multi-class Bard. Alignment chaotic good. BACKSTORY The fierce, young orc chief of a pirate-Viking tribe first measured his worth against a human Paladin the first of his kind he saw and met. The battle was a revelation. Ragnar was already a force of nature, fighting with terrifying, primal joy, for it was the time he felt truly free and where he could escape the prophecies of the gods, yet the human prevailed. Stunned, and his face streaming blood from the lost it his eye, Ragnar laughed-and granted his victor a truce, for he was never hurt before that day. An unlikely fierce brotherhood was forged. Their bound ended in tragedy: the Paladin died shielding Ragnar from a fatal blow. In silent mournful respect, Ragnar bore his battle-brotherā€™s corpse to the distant mainland to the Paladinā€™s homeland. And doing so, he saw a vast, intricate world beyond his warriorā€™s horizon. That loss crystallized a new creed. Inspired by his dead friend, Ragnar now champions Absolute Freedom: freedom for all beings, for all origins, free from the chains of fate, the cruelty of dark gods, and the weight of oppressive rule. Now a legend (in my eyes), his mission is simple and absolute, Death to every Tyrant. Artist. Thereā€™s a question for all of you. You ever had one of those drawings that even at the sketch phase you could just have a feeling that you know itā€™s gonna turn out great? Itā€™s a rare feeling and myself as an artist and all of you we should cherish that, because sadly itā€™s a very very rare thing. Here is just the random design that I did for a possible NPC in my D&D campaign. (If any of my players is reading this then donā€™t read further bc u may or my not meat her) So far all I have for her is she is a Aasimar elf mage, head mistress of the schools of magic. So far thatā€™s all I say because I think the design tells most of that. Thereā€™s some context clues on her background in the design to especially with the headpiece and halo. Have u ever head the waiting to play as a character in a D&D campaign but u wait for so long you start making backup characters?ā€¦.wow Iā€™m patheticā€¦.WELL! here is ThyĢella Ambra! Donā€™t have much of a backstory for him yet, but I know heā€™s going to be a multi class between a sorcerer draconic bloodline and a College of swords bard, so I kept both of those influences in his design. I see him/them as a free soul, a little mischievous, clever, nice, And when they want to be cutthroat. Had a lot of fun designing him though, specially with the short coat and the hair the hair was a lot of fun. Here is the two illustrations of Marvin, one is human disguise form, and the other is it true Oni form. For 2 to 3 sessions in my campaign, they were looking for a missing child, after a couple red earrings and misidentification they narrowed it down to an lumberjack in the woods named Marvin, he was already strange enough but because of one of the players doing the inside check on him, they could recognise by his eyes that he ā€œknew themā€. So with the help of an NPC, they found his home in the woods and one group broken into his room without him knowing any other distracted him. After finding enough evidence they did they confronted him and instead of him defending himself he took off the mask and revealed who he really was. An evil manipulative Monster who Was willing to do anything to gain more power and survive. Lucky for the players they was able to save the child and were able to defeat him quite quickly and when he finally died, the arrogance the anger melted away as a revealed pathetic fearful creature that was harming others for decades, and now was begging for mercyā€¦ so the last session went really good and I think my players had a lot of fun, I finished this illustration a while back but I wanted to post it after the session so I didnā€™t spoil my own players on the design of Marvin who is a pretty fun antagonist. As a celebration for my 100th post, me and my friend @artist_of_insta_and_ticktock agreed to make an art collab! So I found one of the many our templates on Pinterest that me and my friend liked the most, and I drew half and she drew the other half. And we agree it came out great. Decided to make a better illustration of my D&D character Rhohan. Itā€™s crazy that Iā€™m putting so much detail into this character characters design even when I havenā€™t even played them yet. šŸ˜‚ I think I did decent here. One thing Iā€™ve come to learn about myself is that I rarely draw stuff exactly from my head, sometimes itā€™s for good, sometimes itā€™s for bad. Like I didnā€™t intend for the skin tone to have a kind of green tint to it, but I was going for an earthy colour so itā€™s good enough. From the last sketch I think I made him too handsome so thatā€™s why I wanted to make another one that emphasise more of the ram/goat features heā€™s got, and I think I did that very well. I hope all of you like this design as much as me, and I hope I get to play this character aroundā€¦. October I think? I really hope I get to play this character. Sometimes you just see an image on Pinterest and you just know you HAVE TO DRAW IT. I had fun drawing this piece, especially when it came to rendering her skin. I think I always say that while Iā€™m drawing this character, itā€™s just weirdly satisfying seeing how the red reflects in all different shades. Well, I hope all of you enjoy it.
