I would like to give everyone an update on our beloved Dave Roth. He wants the community to know he had a stroke while in the hospital on Wednesday and his planned surgery has been put on hold.

He welcomes visitors at St.Vincents Hospital as he recovers, currently room 116 in CICU. He can use all of the love and support our community can give right now ❤️

Cyclocross Playground PDX - week 4 finale’🏁
All about getting folks ready for our upcoming races.

Tonight’s course challenged riders to think about shifting gears before the next obstacle, moderating speed in corners and managing off-camber. A corner heavy course required everyone to push their skills.

Coach Shannon walked them through line choice and start line preparation. Another reminder to be the BIG Kitty and get those elbows out.

The final team relay of 6 laps gave our new riders a taste of race effort while sharing the work with a teammate.

Cyclocross Playground PDX- week 3! Balance and bumping drills were first on the list. Race starts can be hectic so it’s good to be prepared for the chaos. We also discussed descending loose corners at speed and shifting early in anticipation of the next feature.

Cyclocross Playground PDX - Team Booger edition. Big group of beginners got to expand their cyclocross experience. Basics, barriers and a friendly round of bumping drills. The practice course was very technical with multiple dismount opportunities ,run ups and off camber practice. Our intermediate riders jumped in for the Cat n Mouse race but our winner was Phoebe. Taking home a GIANT bag of Jelly Belly’s.

Cyclocross Playground PDX week 2- progression on basics and barriers is coming along. A more challenging course gave folks an idea of what features they might encounter at local races. Exciting to have more riders doing their very first clinic. Coach Shannon @sdskerritt took the group through navigating a tricky corner to up hill barriers and shouldering vs carrying or bike pushing.

Congratulations to @jacy_clare on the Cat n Mouse race 🏆 wi!.

We are completely booked for 8/28 but have a waitlist. Wonderful to have such a big turnout this year.

Coyote Run CX #2, presented by @cyclocrosscrusade.

The start of the tracklocross race, of course @d_roth will always make the racers earn their start.

@trustyswitchbladecycling showed up strong in this race with @rumpshaker71 and @steve_westberg piloting their tracklocross bikes, first for Mielle and Steve was the last @oregonbikeracing tracklocross champ before last year. While Ash and @brittanysalley hopped on the party tandem.
