AMADEO — Cover Reveal

After the Flood, the world was not reborn.

Endless oceans, salt-covered ruins, and the silent remains of humanity.
Amadeo walks across the water carrying a sacrificial knife and a mission he no longer fully understands.

Inspired by Hellboy, Angel’s Egg, and Lovecraftian imagery.

A story about faith, abandonment, and what remains when a creator turns away from his creation.

First look at the cover of AMADEO, an original dark fantasy graphic novel currently in development.

The story takes place after a biblical flood that never truly ended. The world is now an endless ocean covered with salt, where the ruins of cities, statues, and forgotten civilizations lie submerged beneath calm water. The sky is pale and empty. No sun. No stars. Only silence.

Amadeo is a wandering angel left behind after the catastrophe. With damaged wings, bare feet, a leather jacket, and a sacrificial knife in his hand, he walks endlessly across the surface of the sea. His mission was once simple: purge the corrupted remains of humanity. But as he travels through this drowned world, he begins to question the meaning of that mission — and the absence of the creator who abandoned it.

Along his path he encounters strange beings and manifestations born from the flood: drowned memories, corrupted humans slowly transforming into amphibian creatures, cosmic sea monsters lurking beneath the water, and ancient forces emerging from the ruins of the old world.

Visually, AMADEO is inspired by the bold graphic contrasts of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, the quiet metaphysical atmosphere of Angel’s Egg, and the cosmic dread of Lovecraftian mythology. The project explores themes of faith, abandonment, guilt, memory, and the relationship between creator and creation.

The tone is contemplative, melancholic, and mythological — mixing biblical imagery, cosmic horror, and post-apocalyptic landscapes.

Work in progress.
