Ocean Academy Field Trip #1 Beach Cleanup! Thank you Rainwater for hydrating our kids embracing the 3-R’s by @run4sharks

South Jr. High was honored to welcome Maria, a shark attack survivor, athlete, and passionate ocean conversation advocate, for an inspiring workshop with our students!

Maria shared her incredible journey of resilience and how her experience inspired her to become an advocate for shark conservation and ocean health. Students had the opportunity to learn that sharks aren’t something to fear… they are an important part of our ocean ecosystem. 🦈🌊

A special SHOUTOUT to Mr. Poggio for organizing this amazing workshop and creating an opportunity for our students to learn, connected and be inspired. 🗣️

Thank you Shark Stewards for supporting ocean education and conservation and for helping bring this meaningful experience to South Jr. High community!

LEARN. INSPIRE. PROTECT. 🌊 🦈
