Beautiful memories from saputara epic ultra run with @vatsal_the_runner @fitness_adventurer_rajan @hardik_padariya

John Bingham famously said, "The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start." This reminds us that taking the first step or beginning a daunting task requires more bravery than completing it. by @run_mavericks

EPIC ULTRA RUN 50KM , I DID 25KM ✅

Unfortunately Officially ⛔ DNF(Did Not Finish).

I was excited for my FIRST EVER 50KM ULTRARUN.
I had imagined this day and memories too and prepared myself for the race day conditions.

But at 25KM (50% of the course), I had to make one harsh decision I decided to STOP

🔥 Heat in the body
🥵 Fatigue
🤒 Fever

You can call it a FAILURE
I call it a SAVIOUR ❤️‍🩹

Sometimes having the courage to stop is also part of being an ultra runner. I didn't want to push my body beyond its limit and turn one race into a bigger problem.

I'm taking the memories with me
⛰️ Mountains
🥵 Struggle
🏃‍♂️ Fellow runners
🤝 Organizers & volunteers
🏘️ Village & tribal communities

I didn't cross the finish line,
but I reached the 25KM checkpoint. ↩️

I don't like unfinished things. Saputara, I'll be back for what I left behind.

50 KM done 🏃‍♂️🌫️
Ran through misty hills, muddy roads and pure forest vibes at Epic Ultra Run, Saputara. Honestly one of the best day of my life.

No city, no traffic, just clouds touching the mountains and rain on the road. Only sound was my breath and footsteps for 50 kms straight 🌲

This route was no joke . 773m elevation gain and 779m loss, climbing all the way up to 652m and dropping down to 357m. Constant ups and downs that tested every muscle, especially those brutal climbs after 30km when the legs were already screaming 🥵⛰️

This is why I love running through nature more than city marathons. You actually feel it around you, not just run past it.
Finished in 06:12:59, bib #21
5th in my category 🏅🔥

Couldn't have done this without my gear:
👕 @outstride.running kept me chafe-free and comfortable for the entire 50K, no irritation at all
🎒 @tripolegears hydration vest and flask kept me fully hydrated throughout the route
⚡ @univedsports fuel was perfect, kept my energy levels steady from start to finish
⌚ @coros.in watch tracked every km, every climb, every heartbeat of this journey

And behind every training day, my wife and mother made sure I had the right nutritious meals and took care of my schedule so I could just focus on training. This medal is as much theirs as it is mine ❤️🙏🏽

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Still can't stop thinking about those misty roads. Definitely one of my most memorable races ever 💚 by @run_mavericks
