It’s officially game day. #Sidelined2 is finally streaming on @tubi. Pretty surreal getting to tap into my USC roots and help bring this world to the screen. Big love to our LA crew & fellow producing team that helped bring the Coliseum to life! It’s the ideal post-dinner will-they-won’t-they to reset the room after those ‘spirited’ family discussions. Stream now and FIGHT ON ✌🏽 by @runawayroo
Back for my annual post to celebrate the release of our behemoth Oklahoma-Inspired-Country-Comedy-Western-Musical for @kaitlinbutts Wild Juanita’s Cactus Juice. It usually takes a village, but this one took an entire Pioneertown to pull off with stunts, dancing, and tomfoolery in one of the most famous backlots on Earth (Westworld, Django Unchained, etc.) Check it out now, follow everyone below, and look out for the next ones 😉 Directed by: @runawayroo Supervising Producers: @aconnormartin Associate Producers: @isa.garcia.fortuna Choreographed by @noelbajandas Director of photography: @prince.dpx 1st AC: @jordan.pollak 2nd AC: @te.lim Steadicam Operator: @steadidon Gaffer: @kevinyrcho Key Grip: @steven_escoboza Best Boy Grip: David Gonzalez Best Boy Electric: @captainkorea97 Production Designer: Matthew Rogers Makeup Artist: @tanyperfect Makeup Assistant: @imkelseylim Kaitlin Wardrobe Styling:  @styledbykennady Background Wardrobe: @madisuuu @noellechiodo @kylieklunder Stunts: @gattlingriffith Animal Wrangler: Tad Griffith Location Manager: @talonvh Production Coordinator: @collin.013 Production Assistant: @odessafilms85 Production Assistant: @adam_toth.4 Production Assistant: @cash_porter12 BTS Photo/Video: @valeriebabchuk VFX: @salman.ameerofficial Post Services by: @cuartoblanco.studio Colorist: @nicandlasdrade Starring: Shea Saulino - @sheasaulino Jimmy Arguello - @jimmers11 Christos Tsiantoulas - @christos_tsiantoulas Nick Young @the.nickyoung Jesse Graham - @sespemusic_ Sean Demalleville - @sd.artistry__ Jahira Martines - @jahiramartinez Chloe Hess - @chloeehess Megan Keenan - @mkeenan9 Anna Hicks - @annahicks32 Mari Kasuya - @marikasuya Bartender: Martin Riddell Featuring: @cletocordero @sorry_im_lait @haleyyybro @jakekrantz @clayflaten @yaleslaughter @tesscline @noellechiodo @kylieklunder MGMT: @marknoel1216 Support by @specialpurposelightingandgrip Camera package provided by @old_fast_glass by @runawayroo
Popping back in to pretend to share some work updates but really just needing an excuse to post the updated share of curl on my upper lip. Coming off the high of a 24-hour whirlwind, premiering both the prolific @oohlalola directed short Pruning at @psfilmfest (produced by @nick.paskhover & me), and a large scale dance musical in Nashville (more on that soon). We just wrapped our big Montrealian @fantasiafestival screening and brought dozens of new friends back with us, so you’ll have to come join at @hollyshorts August 13th for your chance at catching @pruningfilm on its mind-melting festival run. by @runawayroo
This can’t be real. We were on National TV today to premiere a musical I co-directed (with @jimmieallen) on the Warner Brothers backlot with over 300 CAST AND CREW. Gratitude is an understatement. This project wouldn’t have happened without my closest friends and family alongside me muscling this vision into reality at a huge scale. I teared up upon wrap for this piece will serve as a time capsule in my life that I can look back to and tangibly/ literally see those I love around me. Go watch it out on YouTube now, appreciate you all, and let’s keep on crushing!!! With expectations high and a song so masterfully composed by @codyfry, Dakota and I co-directed a piece that aimed to convey the electrifying essence of serendipitous happenstance — the first spark that ignites a romance — through a classic RomCom meet cute. In old cinema fashion, and with a concept by Cody, we brought to life the story of the song — steeped in romance and catharsis — with just a little big of magic. See how we did in Cody Fry’s “I Hear a Symphony” Official music video, out now! ⚠️ NEW MOVIE ALERT ⚠️ Paramount’s new horror flick, Margaux, that I co-wrote and Executive Produced alongside @_nickwaters_ premieres September 9th! It’s action packed from tip to toe with notes of dystopian technology and just a little bit of heart so I can’t wait for everyone to check it out. @madelame and I would FT in everyday last summer to see all the action unfold as we concurrently worked on her’s & @creatorplus’ mind blowing new movie Jane (releasing the week before). Special thanks to @stevencmiller for directing the shit out of it and @jcthomps1 for bringing this bad boy to life ♥️ #margaux by @runawayroo
CMT AWARD NOMINATED What an adventure it’s been hanging with these two music legends on the CMT video charts the past 6 months. One, who I grew up tuning in on the radio, and the other, who’s become a close friend and collaborator and is breaking major ground in Nashville. Go check out the video that I directed alongside @jimmieallen which made me the youngest director to be nominated for a CMT Award and made @dakotadiel the most stressed DP in town with all the different cameras we made him shoot on. Go vote for us to win and send Jimmie some good vibes as he takes on Olivia Rodrigo (🤮) for Best New Artist this weekend at the Grammy’s Shoutout the squad: @dakotadiel @heliya.creations @nikki.mejia @jakobthorhallsson by @runawayroo
Came out of 2021 with nothing to show for it except a couple hairs on my upper lip (+ a few movies sold, 12 new passport stamps, and a few small MVs 😬)… Thankful for all the old friends who helped get me into trouble, and all the new friends who helped me get out of it. by @runawayroo
