$100K/year MOBILE DOG GYM 👀🐶 I spent the day with @runbuddyaustin to learn what it really takes to build, launch and scale a full-scale dog gym on wheels. It started with a guy in a trailer and now they have a fleet of 8 vans across the US! I asked him what his advice would be to the younger generation. #smallbusiness #entrepreneurship #mobiledoggym

This was, in fact, Cowboy’s first rodeo.

What you’re watching isn’t just a dog learning to walk on a slatmill— it’s a dog building resilience.

According to the ASPCA and Shelter Playgroup Alliance, resilience is what helps shelter dogs cope with stress, adapt to change, and thrive after adoption. And resilience can be built.

That’s exactly what we aim to do at RunBuddy.

This nervous dude was overwhelmed at first — unsure of the treadmill, unsure of the mustached stranger. But with a little patience and a chance to sort things out on his own, that fear gave way to confidence.

🐕Exercise reduces cortisol (Hennessy et al., 2006)
📆 Routine helps dogs regulate emotions (McMillan, 2017)
Safe novelty builds coping skills (Fear Free Shelters, 2020)

These aren’t just workouts. They’re confidence-building routines — helping shelter dogs move through fear, stress, and uncertainty into curiosity, trust, and joy. And that shift? It makes all the difference in a forever home. #werundogs #dogmom #atx #smallbusiness #austintx #doggym #fitness #shelterdog #adoptable #adoptme taken in Austin, Texas by @runbuddytx

Can’t go over it. Can’t go under it. Can’t go around it. Gotta work through it. Every dog is different and every workout for each dog can be different too. There’s no one size fits all approach. No matter what, each dog is going to get exactly what they need. #werundogs #doggym #dogtraining #bostonterrier #caninecompulsivedisorder taken in Austin, Texas by @runbuddytx

Tell the elderly woman you love her outfit. Tell the barista her nails are fun. Little things DO matter (at least that’s what your mother told me🥹) #smallbusiness #doggym #nonprofit #explore taken in Austin, Texas by @runbuddytx
