Run It By SB CEO, Mrs. ’Seun Boye, Honoured as Digital Communications Ambassador The Chief Executive Officer of Run It By SB Consultancy Services, Mrs. ’Seun Boye, mnipr, has been named one of 50 distinguished professionals honoured as Digital Communications Ambassadors (DICA) Class of 2026 at the third Nigeria Digital PR Awards, held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos. The recognition was presented by Mr. Michael Pepper, an AI Systems and Personal Branding Strategist, alongside Mr. Omoniyi Ibietan, Secretary-General of the Africa Public Relations Association (APRA), and Mr. Segun McMedal, Convener of the Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit. Ogun NIPR Chair, Boye, Honoured as Digital Communications Ambassador Mrs Oluwaseun Boye, Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Lead Consultant at Run It By SB, has been named one of fifty honourees for the Digital Communications Ambassadors (DICA) Class of 2026 by the Nigeria Digital PR Summit (NDPRS). The award recognises her leadership of the Ogun chapter, which has grown professional development, strengthened engagement with the Ogun State Government and pushed public relations beyond the usual. The advisory board also praised her Owanbe Nite initiative, which brings together Adire heritage, culture and the professional community. The award was presented on behalf of the organisers by Mr Micheal Pepper, with Mr Omoniyi Ibietan, Secretary General of APRA, and Mr Segun Mcmedal, Convener of the summit. They described her as one of the innovators to watch in digital PR. The conferment took place at the Third Nigeria Digital PR Awards Gala, themed “Art of Influence,” on Friday, 16 October 2026, at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos. Industry leaders in attendance included Bolaji Abimbola, Tokunbo George-Taylor, Dr Franklin Ginger-Eke, Femi Opadare and Franklin Ozekhome. WPRF 2026: OGUN NIPR MOBILISES IMMIGRATION SERVICE, LEVERAGES OWANBE SEASON 2 FOR SENSITISATION The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has intensified efforts to mobilise institutional support for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) and its flagship event, Owanbe Season 2, during a strategic visit to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ogun State Command, in Abeokuta. The NIPR delegation, led by the Chapter Chairman, Mrs Oluwaseun Boye, visited the State Comptroller of Immigration, CIS Ganiyu Oladele, to strengthen institutional relations, promote participation in the forthcoming events and reinforce collaboration on national image management. Owanbe Season 2, a flagship event of the Ogun NIPR Chapter, is scheduled to hold on November 6, 2026, in Abeokuta, while the World Public Relations Forum 2026, a global gathering of public relations professionals, will take place in Abuja from November 15 to 21, 2026. Speaking during the visit, Boye highlighted the strategic importance of public relations professionals in both the public and private sectors, stressing that a positive reputation remains essential to the credibility, visibility and success of every organisation. In his response, the Comptroller of Immigration, Ogun State Command, CIS Ganiyu Oladele, described the visit as timely and strategic, commending the Ogun NIPR Chapter for its dynamism and commitment to advancing the public relations profession. He pledged the Command’s support for the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum 2026 in Abuja and expressed readiness for active participation in Owanbe Season 2 in Abeokuta. “Immigration officers are the first point of contact for anyone entering a country. WPRF 2026: Obasanjo Backs Hosting, Prays For Nigeria’s Turnaround Chief Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday, expressed support for Nigeria’s hosting of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Abuja, noting that the event would showcase the country’s culture, creative potential and capacity to lead global conversations on responsible communication. She made the remarks while hosting a delegation of the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), led by its chairman, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, at her residence in the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta. The WPRF, which will take place from November 15 to 21, 2026 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, is being organised by the NIPR in collaboration with the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. The weeklong conference themed, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World,” is expected to attract public relations professionals, policymakers, and business leaders from over 100 countries. She subsequently offered prayers for the organisers and participants of the forum, adding that the country would witness a positive turnaround through the global engagement. Speaking on the significance of the visit, Mrs. Boye said the Ogun NIPR visited Obasanjo’s wife to climax its roadshow tagged “Owanbe Season 2 on the Road for WPRF” and create awareness for both the global event and the chapter’s signature end-of-year cultural event. She said, “The WPRF is the largest convergence of public relations and communication professionals from around the world. This is the first time Nigeria will be hosting it and over 3,000 delegates will be in attendance.
