My Mums funeral is on Tuesday and I have been procrastinating writing the eulogy because no matter what words I come up with, they just don't seem to do her justice.I have settled on the themes of just how selfless and fair she was.The last I saw Mum was Christmas Eve 2019.I didn't get to see her one last time. A pandemic robbed us of much of the next two years, by the time I got around to organising to catch up I caught COVID so we had to cancel and agreed to reschedule once cricket season was over. Then life got in the way again and before we knew it, there was an unplanned transfer to palliative care and then it all happened so suddenly once she got there.I should be missing her because I saw her all the time, but I didn't, so instead I am left missing her because I didn't see her enough.Rest In Peace Mum. by @runnalittle

People go to Vietnam and eat copious bowls of phở and rolls upon rolls of bánh mì. Not me!I ate cơm tấm (broken rice with iberico ham and a dug egg omlette) from a michelin selected restaurant, hải sản bánh canh (seafood noodle soup), Miễn Xào Của (Crab Noodle) and Bánh Canh Cua, Bún Riêu Cua (crab noodle soup complete with ducks blood jelly), Snails, the biggest prawns I've ever seen, scallops, clams, oysters, all to celebrate Good Friday VN style, the craziest chicken rice that had a crispy rice dome over the rice, Bành Cuốn, bún chả, bahn beo, che... the list goes on and on#youtriptravelintern by @runnalittle

Today would have been Mums 84th Birthday. On my recent trip to China, I posted pics of me leaving rocks in various places and sharing the GPS Coordinates. Here is the context. Mum had a Chinese friend when she was younger and developed a love for China from that friendship. Growing up, I knew mum was fascinated by the Terracotta Warriors, The Last Emporer (movie), Sounds of The Silk Road CD's, Jade jewellery, and even got me a calligraphy kit when I was younger.Sadly, Mum never got to visit China, and I decided I wanted to pay homage to my Mum, and do the trip for her.Last year I collected a rock from where her ashes were scattered and referred to it as Mum. I decided I wanted to cut that rock up into little pieces and leave pieces of my Mum around China. Not only did Mum make it to China, but a part of her will be there forever. A new setup requires a special album to be played first. It was only ever going to be @follakzoid. I discovered her through lockdown and I have been hooked since. Thanks to James from @studiomakkuro for hooking me up with the sick Studio Makkuro x Föllakzoid collab black leather slipmat and for putting me on to Liam @rhubarb_records who tracked dowm Folakzoid's latest album for me, thanks for that Liam.I'm not sure if we will ever get Follakzoid touring Australia again, so I may just have to plan an overseas trip to see her instead. by @runnalittle
