Meet Lydia! A sweet girl, mom and runner. Sunflower yellow seems to be her staple uniform, which is super cute 🌻🌻🌻 She does a fun thing where she’ll see how far she needs to run for a good coffee. What a treat!

Currently training for two fall races @vo2sportsco 10K and the @thornburyturkeytrot Half Marathon, her playlist is a good one to keep her hyped! You’re going to smash it! 🔥🔥🔥

Week 16/16 done! ***But we’re rewinding and it’s week 16/19!*** Here’s the thing… all summer I put all my energy into @berlinmarathon hoping for the universe to pull through to run it this year. Everything happens for a reason though, and 2027 will be my time to do it! 🤩 But my efforts aren’t wasted! I’m adding 3 more weeks to my training block and trying to somehow squeeze into the @towaterfront42k last minute. I’m already doing the 5k before it, so let’s make it a double race weekend!

Congratulations to everyone who did run Berlin today! You are amazing! 🔥🔥🔥

GO TIME #28: Ian
Of course Ian had to be playlist 28! When I first started these weekly posts he said he wanted 28, but I said it would take forever…and here we are!

He’s my biggest cheerleader, support team on race days, carb loading buddy and my number 1 forever! ❤️ It’s been great having him home this summer, so that when my run days line up with his, I’ll go with him to be his cheerleader 🤩

His playlist has 28 songs, but I made him narrow it down to these 10.

Fun fact: He has an insane amount of Perkins 28 soccer jerseys, that he always wears while running, so insisted on the UEFA Champions League theme song as his playlist intro. Classic!

Double run day, because today is the annual nationwide Terry Fox Run! Though I couldn’t make it to one of the official runs this morning, I did my own, which conveniently we have Terry Fox Drive at the end of our street. The most inspiring human, whose foundation continues to raise millions every year for cancer research.

Swipe for a cool photo my dad took of Terry Fox running on Yonge street in Aurora, Ontario, July 1980. I have it framed above my desk and it’s truly a special photo of a special person.
