6.5 mile progression run as I begin to wind down 2025 and head into 2026. Still can’t wrap my head around how lucky I am to have been chosen to represent team @homebaseprogram in the Berlin Marathon this year. Please take some time to read about the amazing services they offer and consider donating. Every dollar counts and is greatly appreciated ❤️ taken in Silver Comet Trail by @runningforriley

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share that I’ve been chosen to represent the Home Base Marathon Team at the Berlin Marathon 🏃‍♀️🇩🇪
I’ve always said that if I were ever going to run on a charity bib, it had to be for a cause I had a true personal connection to and genuinely believe in—and Home Base is exactly that. This is my first time fundraising for a marathon, but it means so much to me. Home Base provides free, world-class care for veterans, service members, and their families, helping heal the invisible wounds of war like PTSD and TBI.
Any amount is truly appreciated, and if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post. Every share helps raise awareness about the incredible resources available to those who have served and their families.
📸 The photo below is of my favorite military veteran—my dad—and me after running my first race that benefited military members at Cannon Air Force Base.
Thank you so much for your support 💙

Berlin…you were amazing 🇩🇪🇩🇪 I could complain about all the things that made it not my fastest race but I chose to share the things that made it amazing. 1. My amazing wife @ivycoburn72 showed up and showed out all day. She was everywhere with a big smile and a high five. 2. My Dad and Step Mom came all the way to Berlin to watch me run World Major #3. 3. I ran my first race for charity @homebaseprogram and it was truly an honor to run for those who gave up so much for all of us. 4. I reminded myself of all the people who donated to get me here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone in my village. I couldn’t do it without you ❤️#worldmajor3down #3moretogo taken in Berlin, Germany by @runningforriley

Last 20 miler of the Berlin training cycle and it fell right in line with my norm. Historically my last big long run before a big marathon is always awful!!! I don’t know if my body is just over it or if I overthink it too much 🤷‍♀️…..BUT if my history repeats itself that means my worst last runs have led to my best race day performances! So…three weeks and counting! by @runningforriley

That smile makes it seem like that was a well executed run…unfortunately my execution score of 4% would suggest otherwise!! Today was definitely not my day…🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ On a positive note, all 8 miles were completed even if they were ugly! #26daysto26.2 taken in Silver Comet Trail by @runningforriley
