Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers — It Don’t Mean a Thing 🎶

Finding Go-Go records on vinyl is already a challenge. Finding one from the Godfather of Go-Go himself makes it even sweeter.

A piece of D.C. music history added to the collection. The groove, the energy, the culture…this one was worth the hunt.

I’ll be honest…coming into this race, my motivation wasn’t where it needed to be. My training block? Not my best. Diet? Could’ve been way better.

And at mile 17, the cramps hit.

But this marathon reminded me that it’s not always about perfect preparation, it’s about how you respond. I didn’t quit. I kept pushing. I kept showing up with whatever I had left.

26.2 miles for my 26th birthday — complete ✅🏁

Ran the LA Marathon yesterday and it tested everything. Hilly course, the hottest day of the year, and 26.2 miles of pushing past limits. There were moments where it would’ve been easy to slow down or stop, but growth lives on the other side of discomfort.

I challenge everyone to step outside your comfort zone and do something you once thought was impossible. One day we won’t be able to do these things anymore. We’re only getting older, so run the race, take the risk, and chase the challenge while you still can.
