There aren’t many races like this, and it’s the only one that goes all the way across the iconic Ben Franklin Bridge.

No cars. No traffic. Just hundreds of runners and walkers on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

If you join us for the 10K, you’ll start in New Jersey, head up and across into Philadelphia, then turn around and come back the same way.

If you’re doing the 2-mile walk, you'll get up onto the bridge and get those same skyline views😍

The Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge is more than a race. It is a tradition that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the students at Larc Norcross School. The event helps support children and young adults with severe and profound disabilities as they work each day toward greater independence, meaningful communication, and reaching their fullest potential.

Every runner, walker, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helps make a difference for students like Kayla.

Nearly three years ago, Kayla’s life changed in an instant when she was struck by a car while crossing Route 130 and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

After months of rehabilitation, she arrived at Larc Norcross School facing challenges that seemed unimaginable. Kayla was unable to communicate, stand, walk, or participate in many classroom activities.

But her determination was there from the very beginning.

Today, Kayla is working in the school store. She is writing her name again. She uses a Speech Generating Device to communicate with her teachers and classmates. She can rise from a seated position to standing on her own and is walking with less assistance using her walker.

Every word. Every step. Every new moment of independence is a victory.

Kayla’s journey is one example of why we Run the Bridge.

The support generated through the Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge helps Larc Norcross School provide the specialized education, therapies, technology, programs, and opportunities that help Kayla and her fellow students continue reaching important milestones.

When you cross the bridge, you are helping them take their next step.

Most races start and finish somewhere familiar. A road you've run before or a finish line you could picture in your sleep.

The Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge takes you somewhere different. Up 135 feet, above a river, between two states, with views that don't exist anywhere else. And then back down and across the finish line in Camden.

In our entirely unbiased opinion? This one is worth showing up for on November 1, 2026.
