Virginia Trail Running Festival 100 miler! Last race of 2025 - total time 20:25 good enough for 5th male, 8th overall. Saturday @keithempie and I ran the first @runbumraces VA 100 miler, and it was incredible! Flat, fast course with perfect weather. Amazing way to finish the year. Coming off badwater this July, I felt like I really haven’t had my legs under me. This was a great way to get back on track. The course was two out and backs with perfect fall weather. Without heat or hills or really any external barriers, it made it you vs you. How can you turn off any external noise and just focus on winning the mile. This one hurt in the best way. Excited for January in the Sahara! by @runur.run

Last week, Pierce broke a Guinness World Record for running the most consecutive Half Marathons on a Treadmill 🏆 He’s 9 days past the previous record and he’s still going (and SMOKING it). Fun Fact: he did it wearing our Swift Short (goodbye chafe)! Badwater 135, Year 1. 135 miles through the hottest place on earth. 2011 I ran my first marathon and it didn’t go well. It took 6 years for me to come back to the sport and run the NYC marathon. Crossing that finish line, I was hooked. Fast forward 8 years, 25+ marathons, 19ish ultras, 8 - 100s and over 10,000 miles. I sit in lone pine about to take on the challenge of a lifetime. Badwater is going to take everything I have and much more. I have the best crew I could ask for, lead by Morgan as crew chief. Thank you to Anthony, Keith, Kylie and Morgan. The finish line will not happen without you. Morgan, none of this would have been possible without your constant support and all the solo crew along the way. Thank you @runur.run community for the support. Thank you Chris and Badwater for the opportunity to even be on the start line. I’m second wave, starting tonight at 9 pm west coast time. Badwater 135. My first marathon was 2011.   After that, I didn’t run another one for 6 years 😅   But I couldn’t escape the thrill and enjoyment of the running community across the globe.   6 years later, I picked it back up, but I kept facing a serious problem that most runners will experience.   The glorious chafe.   After buying over 30 pairs of running shorts from (insert every big brand name) and not a single one doing what I needed,   I set out on a journey to create shorts that I actually wanted to wear.   We didn’t start as a brand to create cool clothes, we started with an actual need.   We didn’t just launch online, we took our gear straight to marathon expos, setting up booths at 44 races over two years (Boston, NYC, Chicago, Disney, Austin...you name it).    We built Runur the same way we build our products.   Mile by mile, runner by runner.   Every pair of shorts we make has withstood an ultramarathon, most have seen 100+ mile races. And next week, we take on Badwater.   This has been the goal ever since I watched Bob Becker cross the finish line literally bent in half, I knew this was next for me. Next week’s the week. This is more than gear to us. It’s about the community, a brand built for runners, by runners.
