The concept behind Sound Friends is to share music between like minded individuals, DJs, artists and friends. Any format, any genre, everyone welcome.

Every Sound Friends playlist or set will be recorded to tape and celebrated in venue as well as online.

If you’re in Uluwatu, this one comes highly recommended.

Our recent Uluwatu run had us stopping by @rupa__id a new spot that shifts from pastries by day to bistro by night. We caught the evening side as the space settled into its low-lit dinner mood.

There’s a real love for analogue sound here. Vintage hi-fi and vinyl spin through the evening while art fills the walls. We loved how much personality it gives the space and how it all comes together once you settle in with a drink.

Located on Pantai Suluban Street, Rupa sits on the quieter side of Uluwatu, at least for now. It makes for a nice little escape from the usual buzz. Slow drinks, good food and somewhere to just hang.

Then there’s the food. The kitchen absolutely delivered 🤌and now we’re curious about the other side of the menu too. We caught the bistro bit this time so next visit we’re coming back for the morning shift
