Fell in love with this city when I first came here at 19 — staying a year and a half in the state of RJ.
Since then, I’ve kept returning — drawing, observing, tracing its light.
So once more this January.

Palm trees are my favourite trees, and I’ve intensified drawing them. It’s fascinating how they organize themselves: lines, recurring angles, alignments and geometric repetitions are interwoven with countless crossings and casual disturbances in the wind. Vibrant patterns and manifold reflections of light and shadow result in beauty, play and lightness.
