Quick and Easy Ghee🍯
.
Didn't have enough cream to make butter, hence bought Amul White Butter slab and it gave amazing results like any homemade ghee! 😋😋
Used Amul White Butter(Makkhan/Loni) @amul_india to make instant ghee with full flavours as good as our homemade ghee.👌🏻😍 #notanad
.
Quick tip:My aaji used to tell me to add a betel leaf or chuna in the butter at the end of the process to give real good flavour.😊
.
Do try this out and let me know if you liked it! 😋😍👌🏻

Upwas Masala Dosa 😍😋
.
Yesterday being Angaraki Chaturthi, I decided to have something unusual rather than the typical upwas meals.
Got tired of eating Sabudana Khichadi, Sabudana Wadas,Samai Chaval, and potato sabzi which was already prepared on Ashadhi Ekadashi a few days back.Hence, this Upwas Masala Dosa happened.
.
Made Sweet potato sabzi instead of regular potato sabzi. Dosas were made with Samai rice(Little Millet) batter.
.
On my plate: (Clockwise)
🔸Coconut-Coriander chutney
🔸Curd
🔸Sweet Potato Upwas Sabzi
🔸Little Millet Dosas

Today marks my in-laws 54th Marriage Anniversary, so decided to prepare a typical Maharashtrian Brahmani meal for lunch!😍😋😊
The past whole year my father-in law was ill , hospitalized many times..and now has to go for Dialysis thrice a week to the hospital which causes him a lot of restrictions in his diet. As today is a special occasion for my in-laws it was a cheat meal/grand meal day for them!🤩🥳
I am glad I was able to make them happy..The smiles on their faces made my day!!😊😍🧿🥰

Sunday special brunch 😍😊
.
Chole masala has been a part of my childhood and growing up years..
On weekdays,it would always be traditional meals and snacks in the evenings. Sunday's would be devoted to either Chana masala or Rajma Chawal or Dudhi(Bottle Gourd) Kofta curry. My favourite has always been Chana masala, the traditional way my mom has been cooking since my childhood. The same tradition continues for my kids by me too! Now this dish has become part of our Sunday tradition too! 😋👍🏻😀
.
💛On my plate:
😍Beetroot Raita with masala Boondi
😍Chole masala
😍Ajwain Roti

.
One of these days when it was raining heavily it was time for some Pakoras or Desi Chinese!
Since I had all the veggies ready at home and all us of were craving Desi Chinese it was all done in a jiffy!
For Schezwan noodles and rice, I used homemade Schezwan sauce and for Hakka noodles used the homemade Ginger Garlic and Chillies paste..used Chings noodles for both variety. Love the combination of all of this, filling and comforting! 😍😊👌🏻

Happiest Birthday to my Dear Brother Pushkar!! He turned 50 today!😊♥️🎊🎉🧿
.
Missed his birthday twice in one year because of the pandemic. ☹️ He just recovered from covid recently.
.
Since this was his milestone birthday, I thought of preparing something different and made 51 Besan and WholeWheat Nutritious (Paushtik) Ladoos with lots of dry fruit, cardomom, nutmeg and saffron. 😍😍
.
Fortunately, was able to deliver him the Ladoos on time, that was the sole consolation.
Hope he likes them! 😊🥰

Caprese Subwich🤩😍🇮🇹🥖
.
Caprese-The Italian classic is thought to originate from the Island of Capri. Caprese is considered a summer dish, in part to the ingredients being in season at that time, specifically the tomatoes. What makes caprese so amazing is its simplicity, traditionally using only 4 ingredients of buffalo mozzarella, basil pesto, tomato and extra virgin olive oil.
.
Not only is caprese an incredibly simple dish, it is also very versatile. There is caprese salad-the original, as well as the aforementioned subwich. It can be also made into lasagna, pizza, put on bread, skewered, made into soup, and many more. There are also many different variations, such as replacing tomatoes with red bell peppers, sundried tomatoes, and even watermelon caprese salad.
.
❇️To make a Caprese subwich:
🧡Lather butter on one side and pesto sauce on the other side of the sub bread.
🧡Place a slab of Paneer(cottage cheese) slab which is seasoned with Salt, Black pepper powder and mixed herbs.
🧡Add a layer of tomatoes which are seasoned with the same mentioned above.
🧡 Delicious Caprese subwich is ready to eat!🤩
.
❇️My version of Pesto:
In a mixer, put peanuts, hazelnuts, coriander, basil, sesame seeds, lemon juice, little sugar and salt. Blend it into a paste. Desi Pesto is ready!😍😍
