True Vintage 60’s Carhartt Headlight Finck Jacket

Had to make a quick solo post for this one. I know I’ll never hold another one. Insane story behind it

A family friend was having a garage sale, saw his dad’s old Carhartt hanging up and thought eh maybe 20 bucks or something. A woman walks up and asks about it, he tells her the price and she immediately tells him don’t sell it, it’s special. A few months go by and I hear about the story, I’m immediately intrigued. A few more months go by and I finally get it into my hands. I didn’t even fully know what I was looking at. My Carhartt knowledge has grown so much in the few days of deep diving for information (with plenty more to learn). Thanks to everyone who reached out and gave me more information!

This is why I love vintage. What he thought was a simple old jacket in the garage turned into so much excitement, countless conversations, and memories.

My latest fixation. Detroit Vipers Collection built over the last year

The team was founded in 1994 and played in The Palace until 2001 when the IHL as a whole ultimately met its demise. A handful of teams transferred to the AHL but the Vipers were not so lucky.

The issues started early with poor performance and with that came poor attendance. I’ve heard there were stacks of free tickets at almost every store in the area that would go unclaimed. Probably had something to do with the Red Wings being red hot for most of the Vipers lifespan so the fans in Detroit would have a clear favorite between the two.

Despite all that, the Vipers left us with some of the craziest graphics and color ways! Get out there and find some cool pieces! taken in Detroit, Michigan by @russellwears_

Some of the most amazing graphics showcasing military vehicles from around the world.

Most of these shirts have different prints front/back making this post only show half of what these shirts bring to the table. Literally a 100+ different designs and front/back combinations making these desirable yet not super expensive!

By far my favorite collection, usually wear one of these to each event I do! Most of these are early 90’s but this company is still pumping out some new designs to this day!
