1975 - midnight special.
This album is aware as can be!
Funk & fusion.
The rhythm section was top notch. They frequently used odd meters, 5/4 and then change to 4/4 as the song's lyrics began.
"You Got the Love," is 4/4 but you can count 6/8 because they syncopate like nobody else.
Always feels good to throw this on and watch people's feet. Had fun spinning @badideanashville photo by @fionabattersbyphoto by @russpollard

I’m so very fortunate to have met this girl @chandrawatson back in 2002 at some dive in Los Angeles. I conjured up the courage to hit on her and she threw her purse at me! I think I knew then that she would play a huge role in my life :). Chandra is amazing and I wouldn’t want to do life without her. I celebrate her today as she turns another year older, wiser and grows more beautiful. Happy birthday! by @russpollard

Been trying to stay calm and sane these days by writing about what’s going on and how I’m feeling. I’m hearing from a lot of friends who are making art for the sake of making it and that’s really inspiring to me in these unprecedented times. Keep Going...love you❤️ taken in East Nashville, Tennessee by @russpollard
