Lifelong California resident decided it was time to exit and move to Florida. I packed up my Bronco with camping gear, fishing tackle, my dog and supplies.
We had no timeline or arrival date set. The journey was more than I could have ever asked for. The people, conversations, and God’s beautiful canvas.
I thought isolation was going to bring me the peace I sought, but the peace was found in the time spent with solid people with no hesitation in showing hospitality and love. Huge thank you to the Dover Family. I ended up camping with them for a week! Kids, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. It was the most amazing week with a beautiful family.
We used dispersed camping through the first half and the second half was at a Marriott or friend’s house.
The Bronco didn’t have any issues and was ran hard. Often, I had to tell myself, “Hey stupid, you still have a long way to Florida in this!”

These fish are hungry and water level is up 8-12”.
