We are beyond excited to officially announce our investment in our new RCF line array sound system! 🎉😁10 HDL-6-A line arrays and 4 Sub 8004-AS. We debuted the rig at @summersend.mf this past weekend and received an abundance of compliments on the quality of the sound. 🔊👌🏻As the years go by, our team has grown as well as our equipment inventory. The one thing that has not changed is our core values and mission. To provide uncompromising high quality audio, video and lighting services while allowing our clients to focus on their events. Our new compact line array system is extremely versatile. It can be flown, ground stacked or for a smaller setup, pole mounted. We are thrilled to embark on this next chapter of our company. We would like to thank all our clients for your continued support. 🫵🏻🙏🏻 #audio #lighting #video #avservices #avgeeks #audioengineer #audioprofissional #rcfaudio #rcfspeakers #hdl6a #sub8004as #rcfcanada by @rustic.vagabond

In my element & happiest place 🦊🔊

This is one of my favourite videos from Wicked Woods - just vibing out in front of the bins, at my favourite stage, to one of my favourite artists

It’s honestly quite rare that I’m comfortable enough to be in front of a camera when I’m on the dancefloor, or at festivals in general

So this lil candid moment warms my heart & I have much gratitude to my partner @djmnm878 for capturing it 🖤

This Kitsune cosplay was one of my pre-planned costumes that I managed to sneak in for a short period of time between the cold & rain

One of the biggest goals for my self-expression journey is that I am planning to invest myself into creating some very elaborate fantasy cosplays & costumes & props in the near future

I intend to use this personal project for a variety of creative outlets, mostly centred around cosplaying & contemporary performance

And I plan to express this side of my creativity at all sort of different events going forward (music festivals, fan conventions, renaissance fares, fantasy balls, etc)

Music festivals & dancefloors have always been a very sacred space to my heart- similar to how the training grounds are sacred to a warrior.

These spaces have shaped me as a human & an artist.

They helped me reclaim my relationship to my feminine self & all aspects of that power- not just the digestible ones.

The radical acceptance of this community to one another, has helped me to build my confidence & explore creativity in the wildest ways possible

For that, I’ll always be deeply grateful.

And- I’m also SO excited to step my foot in the door of new spaces to continue exploring this journey of creative self-expression.

(Y’all might catch me roving around events as Final Fantasy characters in the near future lol)

🖤

Wicked Wook of the Woods

Fully embraced this aesthetic to counter the cold & damp weather this year

I definitely have a newfound solidified respect for pashminas & ponchos (& throwing the baggiest t-shirt overtop a fleece turtleneck)

Layers on layers on layers 🫠

Sadly I planned quite a few (warm weather rated) costume/ outfits & hairstyles & fantasy-style makeup, etc for this heckin’ festival — yet it all just wasn’t in the cards this year because my cold tolerance suuucks & I can not be bothered to fight against Mother Nature about the way my hair reacts to humidity lol

Managed to sneak one in for a short time though so I’m happy with that & improvised the rest of my creativity towards warmer garments

Exploring self expression certainly comes with its myriad of challenges — internal and external — however doing it in nature adds all the elements of surprise & sometimes you just have to flow with it.

Get weird & wild with it.

Embrace it & be yourself, always. 🤙🏼

(true story- I knew we had an umbrella the entire weekend and never once bothered to use it 🙃)

Another solar return & cycle around the sun

I’m still reeling from a very beautiful week of celebrations

Started my birthday journey with a lil’ adventure down to Starbelly Jam Festival to see Dirtwire preform & they had Sean Rodman from Moontricks join them on stage 🥲 then Stickybuds throwing down as usual to end the night. Couldn’t have asked for a better moment to ring in the next cycle (and also help me get over the wound of missing BassCoast this year lol)

Then drove North of Kaslo to one of the most beautiful camping spots I’ve ever seen & brought out some sound to have a personal private little beach shindig

Spent 4 days & nights dancing under the Sun & Stars, paddle boarding, cooking gourmet camp food, DJ’ing, reading oracle cards under the New Moon & watching Ricky and Morty on the beach. Even the doggos had the time of their lives

Heart is feeling so incredibly full 🖤

This next year is for Presence.
Indulgence. Abundance. Gratitude. Joy.

Romanticizing life & falling in love with it.
Falling in love with myself,
With Mother Earth,
With Community,
With my love for adventure,
& with love itself

I’m looking forward to each moment of it

These traditional houses are used by the Indigenous communities of the Amazon Jungle to gather, commune, and nurture their connections towards nature, community & ancestral knowledge.

They often serve as sacred spaces for spiritual journeys- offering protection to the bodies of the physical realm, while the mind travels through profound experiences into the realms of Spirit.

Partaking in my first Ayahuasca ceremonies here, was an experience that I will hold fondly in my heart for a lifetime.

Plants friends of the Amazon 🌿

Visiting one of the most ancient Rainforests on Earth was truly invigorating to my soul. I could never accurately translate into words what it feels like to step into this place.

To breathe the air.
To stand in the rain.
To hear the sounds.
To feel the energy.

This jungle is home to thousands upon thousands of forms of Life— Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, Bacteria

When I attended college in 2019 to partake in a Forestry & Silviculture program, I felt my deepest calling towards the studies of Botanical knowledge.

As someone with the heart of a tree-hugger, I was never aligned with the idea of working in the logging industry (especially in places where majority of Forestry is currently operating with incredibly corrupt & unsustainable standards)

After college finished, I returned to live in the PNW Rainforest on Vancouver Island, where I had plans to work with a Salmon conservation program based in the Pacific Rim national park.

My path was thrown wildly off course by the worldly events of 2020- which forced me to move back to the Kootenays & I ended up taking on some massive life-changes along the way.

Went from the life of a feral forest vagabond, to a domesticated homesteader. It was quite the 180 flip.

I’ve also spent the last few years indulging my stubborn desires to work as an artist- which is a path I love- yet doesn’t seem to fulfill me in the ways my soul craves for my life going forward (and honestly, it deeply drains my creative process)

Something in my soul always seems to call me back to nature. To the observations of plants- in all their contradictions of simplicity & complexity.

My short time spent in the Amazon Rainforest reminded me of that calling.

I haven’t decided yet exactly which path to take in this direction, but I can see the crossroads ahead & I am excited to explore them.

I had already been considering returning to school for quite a long time. One of my largest goals this year is to begin preparing myself for that next step in my life journey.

Deeply grateful for these ancient places & their wisdom.
