It may not have been the greatest weekend when it comes to results, but it could not have been more special to celebrate our athletes at the common wealth games.

You have made us so proud 🤍 I will forever fly this flag.

Ever since I was three years old and sat on my first horse, I’ve dreamed of having one of my own.

Since then, it’s been years of on-and-off horse girl eras, riding when I could, watching from the sidelines when life got in the way, but never quite letting go of that dream.

After a serious health scare in March, I made a promise to myself to stop waiting for the “right time” and start living life more fully. Time is precious, and tomorrow is never guaranteed. So I decided to do something I’d wanted for as long as I can remember…

I got my own horse.

Patrick has been such a blessing this past month. Even on the days I don’t feel like mucking out a stable or dragging myself to the yard, I always come home smiling. I’ve been told I’m a much happier person lately, and honestly, I think they’re right.

So here’s to a new chapter, fresh adventures, muddy boots, early mornings, and making childhood dreams come true.

My horse girl era is officially here. 🤎

Go to the yard, even if it’s only for 30 minutes. Those 2 hours will be the best four hours of your day. 🤎
