Was out documenting a show in Houston. A fundraiser for top surgery. I really forget sometimes to have fun when I’m doing things like this. Or maybe my immediate community has made me forget that’s been an option to do.

Everyone at the show was wonderful, professional, courteous and sweet. Been in and around this scene over 11 years now, as we’ve gone along, it feels more people are in it for the personal clout of being on stage.

It’s nice to be around folks working with their community together to achieve goals, our economic system seems to push people into this imperialist, individualist mindsets that serve nobody.

Dancing under a full moon, and just existing together was needed profoundly. Shot a couple rolls of 35mm at the show, I’ll be trickling those out as well as payment information for the top surgery fund!

Currently working on a longer form erotic poem in Dactylic Hexameter that is written in a dead language dialect

At its most advanced states, the vocabulary of all art breaks down completely. Deconstructs itself, dissects itself, becomes metatextual, self-referential.

The vocabulary ceases to resemble its original form because what we’re looking for has been completely separated from the medium, action, or expression.

And if you need to break down sex as art & spirituality completely, to be able to form and mold into yours, definitely recommend at least starting here.

What has interested me most is how power dynamics and vulnerability or submission, expressed in different ways. The social contracts and moral codes that get picked up or shed along the way. And what we’re actually searching for at the bottom of all of it.

That said… This rabbit still loves indulgences of the flesh.

Do you know why I ask people boo me?

I am so arrogantly assured in the quality of my character, in the quality of my work, and in the quality of my art that anybody doing less than me, doesn’t even get their community to show up for them. They do not even get to be “booed”.

Anybody doing less ain’t doing shit, and what I do? Everyone should be, I’m not special.

At least being booed means your community has shown up for you and has given you feedback they want you to improve. They could just as well leave.

Then what?

I intentionally place myself at the bottom, just so that anybody doing less doesn’t even matter by @rustlrmagazine

New camera. It’s a half frame body that I’m adapting to fit my Nikon F lenses. Technically the feature of this is more frames per roll of film, but I am *GEEKING OUT* about the frames being in the aspect ratio of motion pictures!

It’s barely even a notable difference but *I* know!!

We are At War now, according to President Bush, and I take him at his word. He also says this War might last for “a very long time.”

Generals and military scholars will tell you that eight or 10 years is actually not such a long time in the span of human history - which is no doubt true - but history also tells us that 10 years of martial law and a wartime economy are going to feel like a Lifetime to people who are in their twenties today. The poor bastards of what will forever be known as Generation Z are doomed to be the first generation of Americans who will grow up with a lower standard of living than their parents enjoyed.

This is extremely heavy news, and it will take a while for it to sink in. The 22 babies born in New York City while the World Trade Center burned will never know what they missed. The last half of the 20th century will seem like a wild party for rich kids, compared to what’s coming now. The party’s over, folks.
